All I need

Chapter eleven

I watch her walk away when someone tapped me. I turn and see Jeremy.

"What are you looking at?" He asks

"Nothing. Let's go to class" I say making my way to English class

"Oh and..." Jeremy started looking nervous "I was wondering if you want to stick around after school?" He asks

"Dude you know I've got to get to work"

"C'mon. It'll be fine. I'm sure Jim won't mind"

"Well what d'you want?"

"Well...since you're asking, the cheerleaders are practicing today. And..." He starts but I cut him off

"No way dude"

"C'mon. Pleeeeeeaaase. It'll be fun "

"But I don't want to"

"Please Lee" he says looking serious "I just want...to see Aurelia"

Wow this guy is in too deep

"Fine" I say. Jeremy really believes that he loves Aurelia. The least I can do is to be supportive.

"Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He says grinning

We finally made it to English class. It was nice...until the teacher said we had to work on a play. Not just any play but a romantic scene. She splitted us to groups of two.

"...Devon and Ciara, Garrett and Yelena, Steve and Charlotte, Aurelia and Jeremy, Emilia and Levi" she said

I couldn't help but notice the groans when my name was called and of course who could miss Jeremy squeal. I turn to look for Emilia only to find her already staring at me. She turned as soon as  I caught but I still caught the pink shade in her cheeks.

Cute.

"This project is due in two weeks.  Don't disappoint" The bell got signalling the end of school.

I was happy...that is until I remembered a certain cheerleading practice. I walked away from my locker to find Jeremy only to be yanked by my arm into a small room. It was the closet Aurelia had a meltdown in.

I turn to see he pulled me only to come face to face with Emilia.
WTF

"Sorry. But I needed to speak to you... without Jeremy around." She said

Oh

"I was just wondering if you could come to my house...you know...for the project" she continues while stuttering.

We were so close in the cramped room that there was no space for me to move.

"Um...no I won't be able to make it today. How about tomorrow?" I say

"Uh...yeah tomorrow's perfect" she says.

"Ok" I attempt to move but she increases her hold on my arm pulling me back to her slightly. "Do you want anything else?" I ask getting a bit confused

"Yeah" she says cupping my face and leaning in to plant a kiss on cheek.

Well. That was sudden.

She allowed her lips linger there before pulling away and staring into my eyes. I couldn't help but feel funny in my tummy as my cheeks heat up. What the fudge is this?

"Bye Levi" she says uncupping my face and leaving the room.
I on there other hand couldn't move. I... I felt happy.

After minutes I was finally able to move my legs so I went outside bumping heads with Jeremy.

"Ugh! Levi what the heck!" He says rubbing his head "What we're you doing in there?"

"I...I" Ok I must have found my legs...but not my voice. What's wrong with me.

"Doesn't matter. C'mon!" He says running.

Without saying a word I run with him and soon after we find ourselves in what looked like a football field. It was huge. Jeremy dragged me to the bleachers where we sat down. I guess we're watching the rehearsals.

Thirty seconds later, the Cheerios come out doing stretches. My eyes caught Aurelia and boy, did she look good.
Let's just say the cheer outfit brought out a lot of...curves. They did a routine where they formed something like a pyramid and Aurelia was on top, that's when we locked eyes. On seeing me, her face seemed to light up as she sent a genuine smile... which I returned on instinct...I guess.

"OMG she smiled at me!" Jeremy exclaimed. I forgot about him. He taught the smile was for him. He's in too deep. "I'm going to talk to her after this and you'll come with me"

"Fine" I really don't feel like arguing anyways.

The Cheerios ended their rehearsals minutes after that and all the guys who came to watch left. Jeremy then dragged me into the field nearly bumping into Aurelia.

"Hey! Aurelia! It's me Jeremy. W...we have..a project to... together" he stuttered

"Oh yeah I know" Aurelia spoke smiling at him "How bout we meet at my place after school... tomorrow"

"Really?! Yeah y...you can. I mean we can!" He exclaimed

"Ok see you then" she says walking away but not before locking eyes with me smiling.

"You were great...by the way"  I say. I mean I came out here, might as well say something.

"Thanks. For coming" she replied smiling before going to join her squad.

Jeremy was still smiling like an idiot while we were leaving the field when we were stopped by some guys...all dressed like jocks.

"You crossed the line this time, slick" a voice said from behind.
