Levi

The fire was closing in on us. Jeremy was choking and Emilia...I couldn't see her. I needed to get them out of here. They knew nothing about this.

"Jeremy!" I call out coughing a bit due to the smoke. I couldn't let Aurelia enter here. I pray she escaped from here. "Jeremy! Hang on. We gotta get out of here!"

"Really? I taught we had to stay and party with the fire." He retorted sarcastically.

"How's Emilia?" I asked out trying to get sweat out of my eyes. I feel like a human sausage.

"I... I'm fine. Just suffocating" she's says.

"It's nice to hear your sarcastic remarks while staring at our death." I struggle more trying to get free. "Any ideas on how to escape.?"

"I have one...but it's risky." Emilia says in between coughs.

"At this...I will do anything to get outta here." Jeremy says in between...sweats?

"Ok. J we have to lean towards the fire. And get the ropes off. That way we'll free our legs and Lee." She explained.

Smart.

"No!" Jeremy says. "You may get hurt."

"That's sweet of you...but I'll get killed if we don't do this." She says.

"Ok. When you're ready." He concludes.

The start leaning towards the fire while I silently pray that this works.

"Hot! Hot!! Hot!!!" I hear Jeremy scream a minute later.

"Bear it. Anytime now." Emilia says.

Some seconds later I see them free their hands and I performed a silent prayer once more seeing as they survived that stunt. They start untying  their feet as fast as they can cause the fire was already closing in on them. They free their legs and run to untie me.

Bless the Lord.

They successfully freed me but now it seems unnecessary as the fire had formed a ring inside with a very small circle in between that was presently our refuge. I haven't seen or heard from Aurelia. I hope she was able to get out.

The ceiling start giving up and falling on us earning a squeak from Jeremy and a scream from Aurelia.

"So... this is how I'll go down? For a friend..." Emilia sobs.

"Before we die...I just wanna say...I love you, Emilia!!" Jeremy exclaimed.

Wait. What?

"Really? I taught you only had...eyes on Aurelia." She says

"Not anymore. Too bad this is the last time we'll see each other." He says. "Good bye Lee! I always loved you!"

He hugged Emilia and I, holding us close waiting for the fire to swallow us up. But...it never did. If anything, it felt like the fire was disappearing.

"We see them!" A voice called in the distance. I don't recognize the voice. I opened my eyes I didn't even realize I was closing only to see the fire was now extinguished with a fireman putting out the remaining flame.

"We're saved!" Jeremy screamed and jumped out of the room into the arms of the amused fireman. "Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!" He said earning a snicker from Emilia.

I take her hand and lead her out of the room. I felt like meat and part of my face was covered in charcoal. Today has been an eventful day. At least Aurelia is safe.

My mind drifted off to her. A part of me wishes she had stayed to help. A selfish part of me wishes that.

"Boys!" I hear Mr Kane scream making a wide smile spread on my face.

"Dad!" Jeremy says running to him. I do the same and we shared a group hug. "How did you know we were here?"

"I placed a tracker in your pocket...just in case. Then when I arrived...with the police, we saw Don trying to escape with Mr Kingsbury. I entered the building and to my luck met..." He explained but is cut short by another voice. A special voice.

"Levi!" Aurelia screamed running to me. I opened my arms but she wrapped her hands around my neck and crashed our lips together. I heard some 'oohs' and 'awws'...but nothing else mattered to me.

"You stayed." I whisper after breaking the kiss.

"I'm not letting you go that easy, Anderson." She says kissing my cheek and pulling me in for a hug.

Some seconds later, I heard another set of 'awws' so I pulled away only to see Emilia and Jeremy breaking off... their kiss.

Aww
