Ch.14 Questions

(Grayson POV)
"Gray wake up! Today's the day! Now get your lazy ass out of bed and get ready for school!" Ethan shouted, yanking the covers off my body.
Ugh, he can be so annoying sometimes. But then the thought of asking Tessa out today came to mind and I got excited. I jumped outta bed and put on some deodorant and brushed my teeth. I just quickly threw on some shorts and a shirt that I found on the floor and raced down the stairs almost falling on the second to last step. I was rushing Ethan to eat his breakfast as fast as possible while doing the same myself. Everything was ready for today and we left in a record time of 10 minutes.

Ethan drove to school. I was so excited yet nervous. What if she said no? I would feel like crap if she did!
He parked the car and we both walked into school. I went to my locker and mentally went over the plan. I would go up to her at lunch and ask her then. It seemed like a pretty good plan. It was simple but effective. I got my books and headed to my first period.

*class before lunch*

"Hey Gray... how you doin? Ethan asked me while he and Emma walked into our math class. It was the last class before lunch and I felt as if I was gonna pee my pants.
"Honestly, I'm kinda freaking out!" I replied fast and jittery.
"No... really? We couldn't tell." Said Emma sarcastically with a giant smile.
"Ha ha. Very funny. But literally like what would I do if she said no or if she doesn't like me that way?" I asked trying not to think of how humiliating it would be.
"Grayson stop. It'll be fine! Any girl would be crazy not to like you. Trust me, it'll all go as planned." Emma reassured me.
"Ya think so?" I Asked.
"We know so." Ethan replied this time.

The lunch bell rang and my insides twisted up. This was it. It was now or never. I went to my locker, got the stuff I needed and grabbed my lunchbox. Oh god, help me!

(Tessa POV)
It was finally lunch! This day has kinda sucked. First, my alarm didn't go off so I made nick and I late. He was honking the horn so loud, I'm pretty sure the people in the next neighborhood over could hear. Second, my hairdryer broke, so I had to use my parents' which wasted like 15 minutes trying to find it. Third, I had to help Hadley get ready for kindergarten because my mom and dad had some meeting involving something for my dad's job. And fourth... well you get the idea. It's just been kinda an off day... so far.

I got to the cafeteria and went over to the table Meghan, Grayson, Ethan, Emma, and I usually sit at. It was empty. I thought it was weird how no one else was here yet. Oh well.
I sat done and took out my lunch. All of a sudden I heard my name being called from behind me.
I turned around and there stood Grayson.

"Hey!" Grayson said.
He looked like he was nervous about something, but I didn't ask.
"Hi Grayson! Where is the rest of the gang?" I asked truly curious.
"I'm not sure." he said glancing around, "Anyways I have something to ask you."
"Um ok what's up?" I asked getting suspicious.
"Well I was just wondering if you... if you ummm.... if you would maybe like to go to the movies with me tonight? I totally understand if you don't want to or if you already have plans..." He quickly said which, I'm not gonna lie, took me by quite a surprise.
"Grayson,.... GRAYSON!" I said cutting him off from his continuous ramble.
"Yeah?"
"Of course I'll got to the movies with you!" I replied with a huge smile.
"Really?"
"Yes. It sounds like a lot of fun!" I said.
His face lit up and and sat down next to me with a slight blush.
"The movie is at 7:00. I'll pick you up around 6:45. If that's ok with you." he said.
"That sounds perfect! What movie are we gonna see?" I asked
"Get Hard, with Kevin Hart and Will Ferrel." Grayson answered back.
"Oh my gosh! I have been wanting to see that movie for weeks!" I slightly shouted.
I was truly excited and thrilled that he asked me out. But in the back of my mind I still had that nagging thought,
'Is this the right thing to do?'
