Grayson's (P.O.V.)
I sat on my bed listening to a bunch of remixes of songs Ethan and I liked. I couldn't focus at all on my homework. Every time I would try to write something, my mind went straight to Tessa. The last time I had seen her was on Tuesday. It was fun eating ice cream with her and of course Emma and Ethan, but I kinda wished it was just us. The way she laughed and then a big smile would appear on her face. I had only known her for about a month but I really like her. Just when I was about to shut my eyes, Ethan burst into my room.

"Dinner's ready." he said while turning around to walk downstairs. I hopped out of bed with a grunt, slightly annoyed that Ethan had interrupted my thoughts about Tessa. I thumped downstairs and saw that my mom had made spaghetti. I quickly sat down next to Cameron and grabbed her hand for grace.
"Dear Lord, thank you so much for this wonderful day and amazing food. We pray for those in need. Amen." My mom said from across the table.
I grabbed the fork and silently ate my dinner. "So any plans for Friday?" my dad asked looking at Ethan, Cameron and I. Cameron nodded her head while quickly slurping up her noodles so she could talk.

"I'm going over to Caroline's house to work on a project that's due Monday." Cameron said.
"Sounds great honey. What about you two?"'asked my mom. Ethan and I looked at each other wondering who would speak first. Since I was still slightly annoyed, I sure as hell was not going to be the first one to talk.
"I think I'm just going to lay low and take a break from all the school work. Maybe do something with Emma." Ethan said while looking at me. He grabbed his glass of water. I don't know why but Ethan and I aren't talking as much as we used to. I still love him though; he's my best friend.
A minute or two had passed when my mom had popped the question on me. I debated telling her my plans or not. I surrendered and looked up.
"I think I'm going to ask a girl out. Maybe to the movies or something." I said looking down to grab my Texas toast. I could hear Cameron snickering next to me.
"You? On a date? Haha!! Since when did you have an eye on a girl?" she asked with a hint of offensiveness in her voice. The table got quite. I could practically feel my parents stare at me. I looked up and said, "Not too long ago." With that I got up to wash my plate and headed up stairs. I hopped in the shower and let the warm water run on my shoulders. Finally some peace and quiet. It's like the one place I don't have to face life.

When I got out I saw Ethan standing in my bedroom doorway.
"What do you want?" I asked a bit more rude than I intended.
"Sheesh, what's with the attitude man? Anyways I came up here to talk to you." he said.
"About what?"
"Just about 'this girl' you wanna ask out. Does her name possibly start with a T and end with ESSA?" He asked with a smirk.
"You're so annoying!" I fired back.
"Well are you gonna do it?" Ethan asked waiting with anticipation.
"I don't know. I mean I don't even know that much about her." I said kinda bummed.
"Come on man go for it! What do you got to lose? And first dates are perfect for learning more about each other!" Ethan told me.
"Ok... Yeah I think I will do it then."
"YES! Finally! Me and Emma have been waiting forever for you to ask her out!" He said which creeped me out a little.
"Hahah ok." I said
"So we good? Your not mad at me anymore?" Ethan asked concerned.
"No! How can I stay mad at you when you just gave me brilliant advice!" I said with a smile.

It was all planned out. I would ask Tessa out on a date. And I had the PERFECT plan!
