Espresso and Madeleine were sent on patrol to protect the kingdom.
Madeleine's POV:
I often heard noises coming from the Raspberry Forest as we were walking by, although it is windy..maybe it's someone else!
No Madeleine, the divine wouldn't bring such unfortunate things to me or Espresso!
But what if..?
I held Espresso's hand tight, I don't want to lose him.
"Madeleine?! What's the meaning of this? Let me go.."
I clung onto him, I don't want him getting in any danger.
"Madel-"
"Sorry Espresso! I just wanted you to be safe. There are noises in these woods.."
"That's just the wind, now let's go see if this area is clear."
"Well well well, look at the two cookies! It is unwise to get in my way. Bat-Cat! Schwarzwälder! Make sure they won't win this time..! Dark Enchantress Cookie will prevail!!" Licorice said
Bat-Cat and Schwarzwälder began to attack.

We ended up winning, as always! We make a very good team.
I turned around to see Espresso's head throbbing..
"ESPRESSO! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" I held him and carried him to a healer.
Timeskip to Madeleines house
Nobody's POV:
Espresso was sitting on Madeleine's table while Madeleine made dinner.
"I still don't understand why I have to stay here." Espresso said
"It's for your own good Espresso, I'm sorry but I just want what is best for your health. And- Oh! Dinners ready~!" Madeleine said.
"Do I have to eat-?" Espresso said
"Yes, you just can't keep relying on liquids! You need some Jellies! Here, Hot Jelly Stew."
"Hm, not bad Madeleine." Espresso Said
"Why thanks Espresso! Now that you're done we should do something! At least if you want to." Madeleine said
"Hm, I have nothing better to do so why not?"
"Alright! Let's go watch something in my bedroom."
—A few hours into the show—
Madeleine wouldn't stop following Espresso, when he went downstairs to get a drink, he would follow him like a sheep. Madeleine really doesn't want Espresso getting hurt.
When Espresso got back upstairs to Madeleine's bedroom, Madeleine hugged him tight in a protective manner.
Madeleine did not realize how close he was to Espresso, and pulled him closer to his face.
Madeleine then leaned in towards his face, giving and earning a shy kiss from Espresso.
"I- Uhm, s-sorry Espresso..!" Madeleine said
Madeleine kept apologizing for the next few minutes until Espresso interrupted him.
"No no, it's alright."
"Really?"
"Yes Madeleine, now be quiet I am trying to listen."
Madeleine was still holding him close and decided to give him soft pecks on Espresso's cheek.
Both were blushing but didn't say a word.
Espresso then got out of the position they were in and went to get some coffee when Madeleine hugged him tighter.
"Nooo, stay with me Ess!"
"Hm, if you insist..." Espresso said
Espresso's POV:
Hmph, he won't let me go anywhere. He seems to always be by my side..! Mm, he's warm..
I hugged Madeleine back. He was very warm.
I then fell asleep in his arms. (Gay 1!1!1!1!1!1!)
—A few hours later—
I woke up to find Madeleine softly kissing me giving light pecks on my lips.
"M-Madeleine..?" I said
"Espresso..!! Uhm, I was just.. erm. Making sure you are close to me."
My heart was beating faster, I swear is this idiot aware of what he's doing?!
"Ah, I'm right next to you Madeleine. Now go to sleep. I'm going to make some coffee." I said
"No, please just stay here with me.."
"Madeleine, we can't be stuck together forever..I really need to get up and-"
Chu~
"Mmph- Madeleine? What's going on." I said
"Just stay here please."
"Hmph! Whatever.."
"Thanks Ess!"
He didn't leave me alone for the rest of the night. I got to admit, him in my presence really is something else..
He was always holding me or giving me pecks. I don't and dare want to know what he is even doing.
