Madeleine's POV:
After Dark Enchantress Cookie has been defeated everything went back to normal.
I'm planning to give Espresso a goodbye gift. My love for him is different, and I want to prove that to him.
"Haha... HAHAHAHHAHA!"
"It seems that you've decided on your own path."
HE truly cared about me.. after so long, it's crystal clear that he cares. His soft, genuine laugh.
Espresso's POV:
I was packing my stuff to leave for the Vanilla Kingdom tomorrow when someone knocked on my door.
"Madeleine? What are you doing here in a late time?" I said
"Espresso! Well, I wanted to give you something before you leave." Madeleine said.
His voice sounded sad and with less energy than usual.
"Hm? What is it?" I asked
Madeleine got a photos of me and him in the Kingdom.
"Hah! Here you go Espresso something before you go." Madeleine said
"Thanks Madeleine. I assume there's something else to talk about with that.. worried look on your face."
"I-I uhm, yes I would love to talk Espresso!"
Madeleine's POV:
"Well, let's go out for some tea to discuss this topic!" I said
They go out for some Tea
"What are the matters to discuss Madeleine?" Espresso said
"I-It's just, are you never going to see me again?" I said
"..I'm not so sure myself."
"Wha-what?" I said
"Madeleine, you said you wanted to travel.. yes it's possible that we will see each other again. I-It's just that the laws of probability sta-"
"Espresso! Please, can I at least send letters?"
"Yes."
"Thank the divine!" I said
"Well, I must get going to my house. There's a big day going on tomorrow." Espresso said
"Must I help pack? It's the least I could do before you go!" I offered
"Mm fine, I merely require more effort." Espresso said
At Espresso's old residence
"Thanks for the help Madeleine. Would you care for some coffee before you go?" Espresso said
"I-.. I thought !?"
"You thought what?"
"I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ME AND YOU FIGHTING TOGETHER! B-Buh- But in the end you're you.. and I'm me."
"..Apologies-"
"WHY DO YOU HATE ME?! WHY DOES THE WORLD HATE ME?! SEAWEED WAS RIGHT..! YOU ARE STILL PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK TILL THESE DAYS..!"
