Short but sweet. Lies there just wasn't much to write in this chapter :P.

"Daichi, I like Daichi Sawamura"
Yachi squeal echoed through the desolate school grounds, eyes lighting up with billions of stars as she jumped to hug her upperclassman.
"Wasn't it obvious" Sugawara light-heartedly laughed, accepting Yachi's energetic hug and wrapping his arms around her.
"Hm obvious enough for everyone else, have you seen how dense Daichi is" Kiyoko mentioned, giggling at her girlfriend who was buzzing with excitement.
"He really is" Sugawara sighed, sitting down and leaning against the wall, "I think I've liked him for years, we've always been really close, I just didn't realize until now I guess" the teenager sighed.
"God everything feels so messed up"
A heavy silence passed over them, it was offputting, to see their usually happy-go-lucky Sugawara become so down in a matter of seconds, trying to shrug it off with a heavy laugh.
"Ah sorry, I shouldn't get so down about the whole situation, I mean there are some good things as well" the flustered teenager stumbled, his mood improving just as fast as it had dropped "Let's get back, everyone is probably thirsty"
The two girls nodded, their eyes catching each other in a side glance, worried for the poor boy. Yet with nothing to offer him besides their support, the trio silently picked up the water bottles and headed back to the gym. Just as Sugawara headed up the stairs, he was stopped by a gentle hand around his wrist.
"We won't tell anyone, promise. And if you need some more support we will have your back" Kiyoko said, her voice smooth and angelic, giving Suga a sense of harmony and fullness. Yet all he could muster was a stiff nod and a short 'and mumbled thank you' before shuffling into the gym, keeping his head low.
He zoned out, keeping inside his mind and processing all that had happened outside. He confessed. He came to terms with his feelings. He was such an idiot, he felt like such an idiot. How he didn't realize his feelings sooner, he wish he knew, but now he had this information and life had suddenly become s much more difficult.
However, his thinking was cut short when he suddenly came back to reality, the sound of volleyballs bouncing and teenage boys cheering because unbearably loud. It pained him. It echoed through his eardrums and run through his brain, teasing and taunting him.
That used to be him, setting for the spikers, being the team backbone. As he looked out across the team he couldn't help but have a moment of guilt and sympathy for himself. Though as he looked out at the players, his eyes spotted something, well the lack of something. Ennoshita and Asahi were nowhere to be seen.
Sure it was mentioned earlier, but it was only now that he properly processed it. There was no message from them excusing their absence, which was weird coming from them. They were both dedicated players, and if they couldn't make it to practice they would always let people know. Even then that was a rare occasion.
His mind was now buzzing, so many things going on in so little time. This was his life.
Trying to take a step back, he leaned back on the wall behind him and let out a sigh, his eyes now trailing an analysing the patterns of each player, well not all of them, just one player specifically.
