Under The Mask. [Sal X Travis]

Chapter 16: WE'RE JUST FRIENDS

The weekend went by. Travis and Sal hung out and didn't kiss because they both didn't want to rush anyhting. They just did minor things that couples do. Held hands, little pecks on the cheeks cereal laid their head on each others heads. As the weekend went by, it was Monday. Ashley was back from her trip.

[ Sal's POV ]
It was Monday and I was asleep. It was 6 when I woke up. As I got up from my bed, I stretched, and yawned. I grabbed my mask and put it on. I went to check to see if my dad was on his room. Yep, he was passed out. I didn't bother so I made my own breakfast. Well...I just made cereal for breakfast. As I got done making it, I went back to my room, and looked at my phone. 'Would he be awake at this time?' I thought about Travis. We weren't saying we were official yet. We promised each other we won't say anyhting to anyone about us. And what happened. A few minutes went by and I was on my phone, checking my social medias. I get a text from Larry.
Tall boi- hey dude, you awake?
Sal- yeah, whats up?
Tall boi- you wanna hang in the tree house until school is about to start?
Sal- sure 👍
I set my phone down and went to get ready. I looked in my closet and took out a black oversized sweater, and a pair of ripped red jeans. I then went to my bed and put on my blue sneakers. I opened my door and walked out. My backpack was next to the door, so it was an easy grab. "Later Gizmo." I walked out of the apartment and went to the tree house.
Sal- going to the tree house right now.
I texted Larry, and began to walk to the tree house.
-few minutes-
Larry made it to the tree house and me and him started to chat. It was a normal conversation, until Larry asked me soemthing that caught me off graud. "Hey, Sal, can I ask you something?"
I looked at him, "yeah, whats up?" He looked away and back at me. "Are you and Travis in a relationship?" I coughed of air, not sure how that would be possible since I was wearing a mask that only had eye holes. "Um..n-no..of course not. We are just friends. Pfff, I mean...heheheh...why would you ask that?" I said so nervously. He raised an eyebrow, "I swear, we're just friends." I looked away. "Okay...if you say so." I looked at my phone and it was nearly 7:40. "Hey, we should get going now. It's 7:40." He nodded and he got up. "Okay, let's go." I followed him out of the tree house, and we began to walk to the apartments. "Hang on, I need to go get my bag. I left it inside." I nodded and I waited outside with my bag. I looked at my phone, until I heard my name get called out. It was Travis. "Oh hey travy!" I said sounding like a 5 year old. He walked up to me. "Hey, how are you this morning?" Travis asked me while smiling. "I'm doing good actually, now that I get to see you now." I responded to him, he blushed and looked away, I chuckled a little. "Shut up..." I hear him say, "make me." He looked at me, and was still blushing, "maybe when you have your mask off." I blushed really hard and looked away. "I regret saying that now." He laughed 'god, his laugh sounds adorable.' I looked back at him and he was laughing then he made eye contact with me. "I jsut want to kiss you right now." I smiled a Travis said that, "gonna have to wait on that." He smiled and walked over to me. He laid his head on my shoulder. He held hands as he did that. I smiled under my mask. I looked over at the apartments and saw Larry with Todd, "they're coming now." Travis lifted his head off my shoulder, let go of my hand and stepped away. I dropped my smile as he did that. I felt safe. Man...anyway, as Larry and Todd made it to us, we began to walk to school. Me and Travis were walking behind Todd and Larry while they talked. Me and Travis joined in the conversation they had only a little bit. Then we ignore them. Me and Travis were holding holding hands. "Hey um...during lunch is it alright if I sit next to you?" I hear Travis whisper to me, I nodded and he smiled. "Ha! Yeah no. Definitely not." I looked at Todd who said that, "wait, what happened?" I asked, "oh I just had the dumbest question get asked, that's all." Larry then barged i to the conversation, "well I was curious okay?! I just needed to know!" I rolled my eyes, I knew what the question was. Did you have a crush on a girl back in elementary. I laughed a little. Todd then asked me and Travis something, "oh hey you two, I have a question." I looked at him, "yeah?" He looked back at me, I let go of Travis' hand, he did the same, "are you two dating?" I blushed under my mask, and Travis looked away while blushing. "N-no, we aren't, we're just friends!" Travis said to Todd. He raised an eyebrow. "Um...what he said. We're just friends." I said to him, he looked away from us, "okay. If you say so."  We began to continue walking. We made it to the school, and we went inside the school. As I went to my locker, I set my stuff in there and took out the stuff I needed. I looked across to Travis, he was doing the same. I smile under my mask. 'He's still cute...' Larry walked over and patted my shoulder, "yo man, you good?" I snapped back to into reality, "huh? Oh um..ahem, yeah." I looked away from Travis and look into my locker pretending I needed something else. Larry leaned onto the lockers. It was 3 minutes and Larry had to ask a question..."you sure you and Travis aren't-" I cut him off instantly, "we're just friends!" I heard Travis too. Me and him were in sync when we said that. "Okay, okay, just had to be sure.

[ Todd's POV ]
(Short POV but let me know when you want to more Todd)
I was at my locker which was 510. So I had to walk all the way to the end of the hall and go back to meet up with my group. When I walked back to the group, I saw Larry, Sal, and Travis. I'm gonna be honest, Travis isn't a trustworthy type in my opinion. It takes time for me to get used of someone. Someone who bullied me and my friends. Besides the point. I greeted the group, and I get greets back. I asked Travis and Sal if they were sure they weren't dating. "We're just friends!" They both said at the same time. They looked away from each other and from us. Ashley, Larry and I looked at each other.
