Author's Note: I know that tis song is old- from 1965- but I grew up on this era of music, due to my dad growing up during this time period. I'll use more modern day songs soon, I promise :)
One shots (Namjoon):
🎤 I reach out to you, but each time I do, I always find you gone.
I know love is new, I'll take care of you, in my arms is where you belong.
Just, a step away, are we from paradise.
Take my hand, come away, to paradise.
My love, I want you close to me.
I need you desperately, oh here I am.
Waiting for you.
Here I am.
Praying for you.
Here am I, so close, yet so far from paradise. 🎤
Namjoon Kim has always had a tragic life.
He was born to his parents Mark Min, and Mona Lee, and always had a pretty normal childhood, with loving parents that loved him, along with each other.
He lived in a small town in the middle of the countryside where everyone knew each other; newcomers rare to the community.
It was a good childhood- up until something tragic happened.
When he was six, he was abandoned on the steps of an orphanage, nothing on him except for a letter that explained his name and why he was there.
He didn't understand what happened at the time; just knew that his parents abandoned him at the orphanage in the city- about a two hour drive from where they lived.
He later learned that his parents were in doubt- lots of it.
They were about to lose their house, and their cars, along with their jobs, meaning that they didn't want to raise their son in that kind of environment.
Which was why they brought him to the only orphanage that was nearby with a letter stating that they would return for him once they got their life stabilized.
But, unfortunately, they never did.
They sadly ended their lives, after entering a deep depression, leaving their son behind in a cruel and broken world.
Or at least that was how Namjoon viewed the world, blaming it for ripping his family apart, and ruining his happy childhood.
Because that was the truth- he was a happy child, who lost everything to a cruel, wicked world.
And he spent three years at the orphanage, until he was sent to a foster family when he was nine years old.
The family consisted of a Seokjin Kim, who was a single father of twin daughters, Jisoo and Jennie- who were four years older than him.
He had enough money to support the three of them, but he's always felt like his family was incomplete- most likely caused by the fact that he wanted more children.
But because his ex-wife couldn't have any more children herself- long story- he chose to foster a child instead, picking out nine year old Namjoon.
He instantly felt a connection to him after their first meeting, and knew that he had everything that it took to make the toddler feel welcome.
I mean, sure, he was a brat at first, and had a pretty bad view of the world, but he eventually calmed down, out of fear that his foster father would send him back.
