Author's Note: I wrote this one shot for my mom based on a show that she likes to watch. It's not exactly the same, of course, due to the fact that I changed some stuff, but it's similar. I'm honestly proud of this one, and can't wait for you guys to read it :)

One Shots (Seokjin):

The Paradise was a luxurious department store in the city of London.

It was owned by a man named Seokjin Moray, who was a widower, along with the single father of his three year old son.

He first opened the store in 1868 with his late wife, Jeanette, who helped run it, training the employees to be perfect salesgirls.

It was a store for wealthy people after all, meaning that the employees were expected to be on their best behavior.

They were always primed and proper, keeping a professional atmosphere around the place, knowing that their boss was strict when it came to how they interacted with customers.

Especially after his wife died tragically, when he found himself balancing being the boss and owner of the shop, while being the single father of their son.

He was able to manage though, hiring a nanny for his son, while continuing to run the shop full time, causing business to boom as usual.

The Paradise was one of the only department stores in the city, meaning that they got customers from all over the city, who heard great things about them.

And their newest employee, Alice Lovett, was no different.

She was from a small town in Scotland, who came to the city to find a job, wanting to earn money, so that she could give some to her Uncle, who was struggling.

She applied for a job at The Paradise, even though she didn't know the first thing about being a lady.

I mean, she was from a small town, meaning that she wasn't used to being around first class rich people.

That didn't stop her from getting the job though, due to the fact that the owner, Seokjin, knew that there was something special about her.

He could tell that she had talent, favoring her over most of his employees, who could tell that the two of them were attracted to each other.

Which just caused jealousy among the group of salesgirls, making them treat their newest employee like filth- not only because she came from a poorer background.

But also because she was in love with their boss.

She couldn't pursue him however, since he could lose the store, if it ever got out that he was dating an employee of his.

And he didn't want that- especially since this was his late wife's dream, and he wanted to keep it up and running, always feeling like she was there besides him.

He knew one thing though, something that made him question his whole reality.

He liked her back.

It's been a couple months since Alice started working at The Paradise, and not everything was smooth sailing.

There was a lot of drama between her and her co-workers, mainly due to the favoritism that their boss was giving her.

Plus, most of her co-workers came from wealthy families, meaning that they were rude and snobbish- mainly to her.

I mean, she was from a small town in Scotland, making her more lower class than the other young woman that she worked with, who believed that they were better than her.
