One shots (Namjoon):

🎤 Feel the rhythm, as your body remembers.

I like it, something unforgettable.

Right now, just follow the heart.

I like it.

Fly above the horizon.

Umpah umpah.

Umpah umpah.

Breathe together.

Umpah umpah.

Look each other in the eye.

Umpah umpah.

Umpah umpah.

You and I like it, something unforgettable. 🎤

Namjoon Kim had always loved going to the beach.

It wasn't because of the swimming- which he was too young to do without supervision- or the sandcastles.

But because of the fact that he loved digging for crabs- yes, dear readers, you've heard me correctly.

He loved digging for crabs.

He was always getting teased for the fact that he loved sea creatures, thinking that they were equal to him, but he didn't mind that.

I mean, he liked being different, which was something that his mother was always telling him.

"You're born different, Namjoon," she would say, with a smile on her face, making it clear how much she loved her youngest son.

"Promise me you'll embrace it, okay?"

He just nodded, before promising his mother that he would embrace his differences, and not care about other people's feelings about him.

Unfortunately however, she died from cancer when he was four, meaning that he didn't remember her as well as his older brother, Seokjin, did.

He didn't mind, though, since he had a photograph of her sitting on his desk in his bedroom, which he looked at every single day.

And it always brought a smile onto his face, since he knew that she would be proud of him.

That couldn't have made him happier.

Right now, the eleven year old was walking towards the beach with his older brother, holding onto the teenager's hand tightly, so that he couldn't get lost.

Their father was back at the car, getting their stuff, meaning that he wasn't there to witness how excited his youngest son was- who was practically bouncing on his feet.

"Hold your horses, Namjoon," his older brother, Seokjin, said, glancing at his younger brother, while keeping a smile on his face.

"The crabs aren't going anywhere."

That didn't stop the child from being excited though, but he stopped skipping, and started walking besides his brother at a normal pace.

"I'm sorry," he just muttered, his golden hazel eyes looking towards his plastic yellow bucket and matching shevel, finding them more excited than the teenager standing next to him.

"I just love the beach."

His older brother just smiled, before laughing a little, ruffling his chestnut brown hair with his free hand.

"I know you do, Joon," he replied, keeping his tone of voice calm, along with a smile on his face.

"But how about we find a spot first, before we go look for crabs. Okay?"

He just nodded, before following his older brother towards a spot on the sand, watching as he laid down a beach towel, along with some chairs.

"I'm going to help dad get the rest of our stuff," he said, his dark brown eyes looking towards the impatient eleven year old, who didn't have the best posture.

"You have permission to look for crabs, Namjoon, but please stay where we can see you. You're old enough to do that, right?"

He just nodded again, watching as the older male ruffled his hair one last time, before walking back towards the parking lot.

And he couldn't help but smile a wide, dimpled smile, before running towards the water, beginning to look for crabs.

He continued doing this, not even noticing that he was wandering off even farther down the beach.

At least he found a cool looking hermit crab, though.

"Namjoon!" He heard someone yell behind him, before his hand was grabbed, causing him to become face to face with his older brother.

His black hair was messy, and his dark brown eyes were filled with concern, making the young child confused.

Did something happen?

"Don't do that again, okay?" He scolded, breathing out a sigh of relief, and pulling his younger brother into a quick hug.

"Do you know how worried dad and I were? We were worried that something happened to you."

The chestnut haired male just stayed silent, watching with sad eyes as his brother kissed the top of his head, beginning to lead him back towards their father.

"I'm sorry, Seokjin," he muttered out, his tone of voice sad, which quickly turned into excitement when he realized the crab that was in his hand.

"But look! I found a crab!"

He showed it to the older male, who just ruffled his hair again, looking at him with a smile on his face.

He will always love his younger brother.

Thankfully, nothing else happened after that, meaning that the small family of three enjoyed their day at the beach, breathing in the summer air.

They didn't go to the beach often, due to their fathers work, since he found himself working overtime after his wife died, so he could support himself and his sons.

It was hard for him, sure, but he loved his sons, and just wanted them to have the best in life, even though that was hard for his youngest son, Namjoon.

He was just born different, causing him to get bullied and teased in school, but that didn't stop him from seeing the best in life.

And he thanked his wife for raising him that way.

"Ready to go?" He asked both his sons, once the sun was getting ready to set that evening, meaning that the sky was going to get dark soon.

The oldest brother nodded, before shaking the brunette male awake, who was beginning to fall asleep on the towel, exhausted after a long eventful day.

He watched as his eyes opened, and he groaned, while grabbing onto the older males hand, who began to help their father pack away their things.

They walked to the car silently after that, thankful that it wasn't a long walk, due to how tired they were.

But it was worth it, since this was the first time that they've been to the beach in almost a year, meaning that they missed it.

Mainly the youngest brother, who never stopped talking about the crabs that he found, even though he hated putting them back into the water- he's always wanted a pet crab himself.

That couldn't happen, however, but he didn't mind, since he was content with spending time with his older brother and father, thankfully that he didn't have to hide his personality around them.

And he couldn't have been happier.
