Some days when I wake up
I feel it
Like a 50 pound weight on my chest
Making everything feel like nothing
Making me feel numb inside
Sometimes I think that feeling anything is better than being numb
But then I'm sad and I realize that anything is better than that
So numb is a good in between.
Feeling nothing is better than sadness or anger or grief or jealousy or hate.
Numb is me.
