Always the ears and never the mouth
Always the silence and never the loud
Why can't I be the one
He wants for once
Always the friend and never his girl
Always a rhinestone and never the pearl
Forced to watch as he walks away
Forced to write a poem today
Always waiting never there
Always excepting defeat for their
Love and praise will save the day
The lie that keeps her going every day
