You said you had to leave
You said you had to go
We were talking
Wandering eyes
To her
Than to me
Said your parents were strict
And you curfew was early
I nodded but I knew
That later I would probably see a picture
Of her with you
On insta
Or an snap
Just like my heart
That you snapped in half
You said you had to leave
But you knew you were lying
And I did too
But part of me
Always wants to believe you
You said you had to go
Not surprised
Because you never stay
We talk for 10 minutes then you go your own way
But I wish you knew
How much I like you
And how much I care
Because the only time I really see you
Is in my dreams
Your in my bed
You hold my hips
Kiss my lips
And say you never have to leave again
But then I wake
And feel sick
Because the person I dream of
Is with another girl right now
Telling her the same
So l need to stop pretending
That when we talk
And make eye contact
That you like me too
Because you have to go
But I'll always follow you.
