Chapter 1

It was the first day back to college, my first day of my last year in this hellhole. I hated it. I met my best friend Neve.

"hey" she greeted me with a hug,

" mm" I groaned

"one of them moods already" she laughed "you've not even walked in the building yet" we were stood on the steps outside the front entrance.

"Do we have to go?" I moaned 

"Yes" she laughed dragging me through the glass doors, we headed to the front desk to get our timetables, the first two days we would have a temporary timetable so we had every class each day plus a few talks. It was torture, two full days. The only positive was we got two days off after that while the lower year did the same. The woman behind the desk handed me my timetable and I grunted. She just laughed at me and so did Neve. This was the moment of truth, did we have English together again this year? That was how we met, in our English class the year before.

"I cant look" I said, but I didn't need to, Neve's face said it all.

"We've been split up?" I asked, she just nodded, could this place get any worse, I was going to have to make new friends in all my classes and I hated that. Awkward icebreakers at the beginning of lessons that made us all cringe.

"who's your PC?" asked Neve, PC was our personal coordinator, they would help us apply for University and basically be there whenever we needed them for anything. I looked down at my sheet,

"Jeff" I replied " who's he?"

"I don't know but I have Sam" she squealed, he was the fit one, the reason I failed my business studies last year. How do they expect you to concentrate when you have a gorgeous man stood at the front of the room.

"lucky bitch" I moaned

"you never know" she replied "this Jeff might be cute"

"well I will find out at 3 o'clock today" I said 

"oh I gave Sam first session" she said "cant wait"

"just don't visibly drool Ok Nevie" I laughed as we hugged again and went in opposite directions. I had a talk first session....oh joy!

I zoned out for the whole talk, scanning the room to see who might have the same timetable as me. There were a few faces I recognised but none that I was overjoyed about". Since I'd got so close to Neve, my other friends had kind of took the hump and I hadn't seen any of them over summer. Not that it bothered me, all they did was bitch about people anyway. I followed the crowds out of the lecture hall and into the corridor, still in a world of my own, I bumped straight into someone. My head was level with their chest and he was wearing a crisp white shirt, untucked and dark denim jeans.

"I'm so sorry" I apologised, looking up to be met by two dreamy brown eyes and the cutest smile you had ever seen, dimples making me swoon. He was tall; I was 5ft so against me I would say he was about 6 ft. 

"hey its ok don't worry about it" he laughed, the way he looked at me was so seductive, his deep gravely voice made my heart melt. I watched him walk away, wishing our brief encounter had lasted a little longer.

Neve found me wondering around the corridor in a dreamy state.

"oi fat arse come back to earth" she yelled, obviously having spoke to me already and had just been ignored, it was true though, my arse was big, not fat just stuck out, I had a hollow back so that only emphasised it.
