Monday morning: the worst day of the week. I am really not looking forward to school today.
I walked out of my dad's car with my rain coat on. It was raining cats and dogs outside and as refreshingly un-stylish as this rain coat is, my hair is too cute today to get wet by the rain.
I said my goodbyes to my dad before closing the door and walking into the school's double doors. Ugh, the sight of Valley Ridge High School makes me sick. I rolled my eyes and walked down the hallway to make my way to my locker.
Once I reached my destination to my locker, I took out the stuff I needed. I turned around and before I could even take one step, I was blocked by a sad looking Kelsey. "Is it true!?" She yelled at me in a sad tone.
"Huh? What are you talking about? It's too early in the morning for-"
Kelsey rudely interrupted me. "Is it true that you kissed Jaden?!" She yelled, a tear drop suddenly running from one of her eyes.
My brain suddenly froze. I had no idea what she was talking about, but I was going to get to the damn bottom of it. Seconds later, every single student in the hallway gathered around Kelsey and I to see what all the commotion was between us. "Hold up, I don't know what you're talking about, Kelsey." I told her. Where did she get this information from? Why ever in bloody hell would I kiss Jaden Wilson? That's definitely the last thing on my bucket list.
"Don't act dumb, Janelle. I know it's true. It's all over Instagram!" She cried.
"Okay! Can someone explain because I'm confused." I stated.
"Janelle. I actually thought we could be good friends. I know I dumped my meatloaf on you on your second day, but I told you it was an accident, which it completely was. But you didn't have to go this far." She added on to her crying even though I've freaking told everyone that I didn't know what the hell she was babbling about.
"Kelsey! I did not kiss Jaden!" I told her.
"You're lying." She said.
"No I'm not. I never kissed him!"
"Oh yeah. Well explain this." Kelsey now had my full attention. She pulled her iPhone 6 out of her Betsey Johnson designer purse and put in her passcode to unlock it. She clicked on the Instagram app and soon pulled up a picture. "This is clear proof." She then put the phone in my face and I frowned at the picture.
The comment below the picture said "Jaden 'gets busy' with the new girl at his killer party last Friday. #Jaden&Newbie." I took Kelsey's phone out of her hand so I could look clearly at the picture in from of me.
I couldn't believe it. It was me, grabbing Jaden's shirt and kissing him, on the lips. My breathing then became unsteady and I was unable to process what I was seeing. "I-"
"Save it Janelle. I was actually considering being your friend. I'm not the bitchy/blonde girl who dates the bad boy you know? That crap only happens in the movies. I'm actually nice. I wanted to get along with you, but I was stupid for thinking that. Bye Janelle." Kelsey grabbed the phone from my hands before walking away to God knows where.
I was a little taken back by her words. I wasn't expecting that. But right now, my brain was in total freeze mode. I didn't know what to think or what to say. "Janelle. I didn't know you were like that." Ricky Wallace said to me.
"I didn't-"
"You knew Kelsey was dating Jaden. Why would you do it?" Ariel added in.
"Ariel I-"
"I can't believe the new girls a slut and a liar." A girl I didn't recognize added in.
"A slut? What does any of this have to do with being a slut?" I said.
