I nervously tapped my pen on my desk in biology class as the new teacher (I still haven't learned her name) wrote some notes on the board. "Who is tapping!" The old lady turned around with an annoyed face expression.

"Sorry." I put the pen down and sunk low in my desk.

Memories

Memories from the other day flooded through my mind and nothing could wash those memories away. I just simply could not stop thinking about what Jaden and I did.

Jaden made my heart pump a thousand miles per hour, and I definitely was not expecting what he did the other day when I went over his house. But why am I surprised? He's probably done it with a bunch of other girls...a bunch of other girls?...oh no...what if Jaden was just using me to get into my pants?

The thought of Jaden using me for sex made me sick to my stomach. Because as much as I can't believe I'm saying this, I really like Jaden and I don't want to lose him. But he's a player, he's the schools bad boy, he's a jerk. Maybe I'm just one of his girls that he-

The bell rung and sent loud sound waves through the classroom, cutting me off of my train of horrible thoughts. I grabbed my things and headed out the classroom, making my way to lunch.

I walked fast down the hallway. But someone grabbed my wrist and stopped me from walking. "Janelle." The soft voice spoke my name. I got butterflies in my stomach and my skin heated up as Jaden said my name and as he touched me.

I slowly turned around and looked down at the ground. Jaden gave me a concerned and worried look. He put his index finger on my chin and lightly lifted it up so I could look at him. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"Jaden...I don't think this can work out between us." I said.

"What? Why?" I looked around the hallway and saw that it was packed of people. I grabbed Jaden by the wrist and dragged him to the back hallway.

When we got the back hallway, I faced him and looked him in the eye. "After we um...did what we did, I thought about it...and I realized that you usually use girls. And I-I don't don't want to be one of those girls. I really like you and I'm not looking forward to you breaking my heart."

Jaden shook his head. "Janelle, you're different. I would never try to hurt you."

"But how do I know that. I've heard tons of stories about you dating girls, having sex with them, and then breaking their heats to move on to the next girl. I don't wanna be one of those-"

Jaden silenced me by grabbing me by the waist and crashing his lips onto mine. When he pulled back, he looked into my eyes. "Janelle. That was the old me. Yeah u admit I used to be a mess." He explained. "Back in ninth and tenth grade before you came to Valley Ridge High School, I used to drink, use girls, get suspended, disobey my parents, sneak out at late hours, and all of that. But Janelle I promise that I really like you. And what I feel for you is real. I would never try to hurt you. Okay?"

I nodded. Okay, he made me feel a little better. "Alright." I gave him a weak smile.

He smiled back, showing off those straight teeth of his. "Now let's go." He took may hand in his as we made or way to the cafeteria.

This conversation still didn't mean I felt weird about what happened the other day. I should have never done that. But what's done is done...I just feel so awkward- "I know what you're thinking about." Jaden said.

"Uh..."

"You feel weird about what happened."

"Yeah...kind of it's just that I've never done any of that. I just feel weird." I shiver went down my spine as I talked about it.

Jaden smirked. "You know you enjoyed it."

"Perv."

"And don't you forget it." He winked ate as we sat at a lunch table.

I looked around and my eyes widened as I paused on Ariel and Reese. They were kissing...well I guess the mission to get Ariel and Reese together has already been handled.

I shrugged my shoulders and faced Jaden. "I can't believe the end of the year is right around the corner." I mentioned. "It seems like it's gone by so fast."

"Well...you did come to this school in the middle of the semester. So you basically missed half the year." I laughed. Jaden reached and grabbed both of my hands and looked me in the eye. "But...can you promise me something?" He asked.

"Anything."

"You promise that we'll be together, like after graduation and in college?"

I looked him in the eyes and smiled. "Promise."
