I woke up this morning with the biggest smile on my face. Today is it. It's the last day of school. This year has really come to an end. It's the end of junior year at Valley Ridge High School. Next year we'll be seniors and then off to college.
I got out of bed and danced to my bathroom. Wow you see the difference? Every morning, I zombie walk to the bathroom and now I'm dancing to the bathroom. I'm just so happy that this year if over. I remember the first day I walked into Vally Ridge. And I remember perfectly when Jaden dumped his beer on me and I had to wear Kelsey's shirt for back up. That was the worst first day of school I've ever experienced.
I brushed my teeth and got in the shower, washing my hair with my strawberry scented shampoo. After that, I wrapped myself in a towel ad blow dried my hair. Afterwards, I decided to curl it. It's the last day of school I have to look nice.
I went to my room and changed into a burgundy dress that stopped a little above my knees and some combat boots. I didn't feel like putting on any lip gloss or anything. I looked just fine without it. So I was officially ready for the last day of school.
I walked downstairs and smiled at my dad who was drinking coffee and ready a newspaper at the dining table. "Hey dad." I gave him a hug.
"Hey Janelle. Glad today's the last day?"
"Yes I am. We'll see you later." I said, grabbing my bag and walking out of the front door. It's kind of depressing that I never got a car this year. Like geez, I'm technically a senior when this day is over. It's about time I get a car.
I started walking to school. When I got there and opened the double doors, I instantly covered my ears from the loud noise. There were student running around everywhere and the hallways were more crowded than usual. I rolled my eyes and entered the school. I don't know if this was how they acted every last day of school, but it was quiet annoying.
"Whoo!! Last day of sc-" Ricky Wallace was screaming and running down the hallway before he bumped into me.
"Ow!" I said, pushing him away from me. After wiping my clothes with my hands in disgust, I smiled again in happiness and walked to my locker.
I put in my locker combination and I was about to grab a textbook when I thought accursed to me. I mentally laughed. It's the last day of school, I don't need a stupid textbook. I shut my locker closed and was about to turn around to walk down the hallway when hands covered my face. "Guess who." I smiled and I removed the persons hands.
I turned around to see the person and gave the person a sarcastic shocked face. "Jaden! I didn't know that was you!"
Jaden rolled his eyes. "Is it me or is it getting a little sarcastic in here?" Jaden smiled and lowered his self to kiss me. He wrapped his arm around me as we walked down the hallway to our first class. "Happy that it's the last day?" Jaden asked.
"Yeah." I said. "I'm just ready for the last year so we can get out of here."
Jaden grinned and opened his mouth to say something, but the bell rang interrupting him. "We better get to class." He said.
I gave him a weird look. "You're going to class right when the bell rings? But it's the last day of school. Aren't you gonna go skip?" I asked him.
He shook his head. "Nah. I need to be a little more like you."
I shrugged my shoulders and began walking to class. Jaden kissed me on the cheek before walking the opposite direction to his home room class. When I entered home room, Ms. Johnson yelled at me to take my seat like everyday. I'm so glad I won't have her next year...unless she switches to a 12th grade teacher, which I hope doesn't happen.
I sat in my seat next to Logan. "Hey, Janelle."
"Hey, Logan."
We smiled at each other before giving Ms. Johnson our full attention. She was still teaching even though this was the last freaking day of school...what kind of crap is that?
~~~~~~After class, I headed to lunch. I met up with Jaden on the way in the cafeteria. We got in the lunch line and for our disgusting tray of meatloaf-not that we were gonna eat that crap. But we just thought that-
My train of thoughts were cut off when I felt something on my clothes. I looked down and saw meatloaf sliding down my shirt. I looked up at Ricky Wallace, who was standing in front of me with an apologetic face. "Sorry Janelle. My tray slipped."
I've gotten meatloaf dumped on me twice at this school...
I have a feeling next year is going to be pretty interesting.
_Alright, so that's it. That was the last chapter.
It didn't turn out as good as I thought it would, but I think it was a success.Comment here if you liked The Lies of Kiera Walker better, or this one better.
And this book will not be having a sequel. So Janelle's Choice was JADEN.
Thanks to everyone who read this. We love you all and keep reading our books! We are thankful for you guys.
