she looked away immediately, but i didn't

she was talking with one of our friends, a drink in hand

and holy shit she looked so fucking pretty

i looked away, before she could catch me looking at her

and my friend was already gone, talking to some guy

i went towards the kitchen, pouring myself some punch

i assumed it was spiked, with the burning sensation down my throat

but nevertheless, i drank all of it, and poured myself another

i saw one of my friends, and she waved over to me

"want to try this?" she asked, holding up a bottle of something

i shrugged half heartedly, did i want to get drunk?

and then i saw sage, laughing with some guy

and yes, i decided. i did want to get drunk

"sure." i finished my remaining punch and she poured in the drink

it was bitter, and strong but i got used to it by my third cup

a headache was forming by now and the loud music didn't help

i wandered towards the front of the house, looking for a exit

i slipped outside, onto the porch, and no one else was out

i sat on the steps, placing my drink beside me

not long after, the door opened.

"brynn?"

i shut my eyes, after hearing sages voice

she lowered herself beside me, only a few inches away

i really didn't want to deal with sage right now

it was cold, and i regretted drinking all those drinks

i unintentionally shivered, why did i wear this?

it wasn't as if sage would notice what i was wearing

but then a jacket was draped across my shoulders, and maybe it wasn't so bad
