i stood up, half hour after the movie started

"where are you going?" sage asked, looking up
"i'm getting a drink." although i mostly just wanted a breather
sage stood up as well, following after me

"what are you doing?"

"the movies boring, i'll come with."

i didn't respond, and started down the stairs of the theater

i could hear her close behind, and sped up slightly

the hallway was empty, other than a security guard

i looked towards the drinks, and i didn't really want soda

i glanced towards sage, to find she was already looking at me

i'd never noticed how pretty her eyes were.

why was i thinking about sages eyes? i shook the thought out of my head

"do you want to.." i paused, would she say yes?

"do i want to?" she repeated, when i trailed off

"well, the movies horrible, and the food court isn't far, so maybe.."
"are you trying to ask me to ditch the movie to get food?"
"depends on what your answer would be."
she grinned, and i found myself staring at her mouth

her lips were be perfect to kiss, not that i wanted to kiss her

though i did enjoy our kiss plenty

i still disliked her, a lot.

"trying to hang out with one on one?" she teased
"you're already here, so i suppose it wouldn't be too bad."
"that's so romantic of you brynn."
"isn't it? getting greasy food on a wednesday night."

"and maybe even a kiss at the end of the night." her tone was light, and joking

"we'll see."

her cheeks flushed pink, and for a moment, i wished the date was real.
