i sat in my desk, glaring at sage

the teacher had just asked her to tutor me

and she accepted, why would she accept?
i would learn nothing, and fail my math class.

"you girls can decide a time, right?" our math teacher asked

sage nodded, and i didn't answer, instead, picking up my stuff and walked out.

but instead of letting me have a moment of peace, sage trailed behind me

"what do you want sage?" i paused in the hallway, and she almost bumped into me

"you." she deadpanned, and the sarcasm clear in her voice

i continued walking, ignoring her now

"fine, fine. what time can you do tutoring?"

"i'm busy all day."

"tomorrow?"

"actually, im busy all week."

"next week then?"

"i'm busy the rest of the month."

"in a couple weeks?"

"i'm busy every single day, can you go away now?"

she grabbed my arm, stopping me from continuing walking

"you're the one failing math, brynn."

the way she looked at me, made me feel all weird and shit

"i don't need your help sage."

"and you'd rather fail math, like an idiot? you know you need me."

at this, i brought my face near to hers

"i don't need you, there are many things better than you."

i pulled away a strand of hair from her face, and she stayed quiet

"after school, show me how i really need you then?"

i finally walked away, leaving sage oddly flustered
