i never gave sage her jacket back

instead, i kept it in my room

it smelt like sage, even after a week

not that i smelt it, though.

she hadn't asked for it back, even during tutoring

she was still absolutely useless in tutoring, and i had to see her again, tonight

we were going to watch a straight rom-com

and although i didn't want to watch the movie, i was going

not because i wanted to see her, i just wanted to go out.

granted that, i was running late

i missed the first bus to the mall, and my friends offered to drive me

but sage could've been with them

the movie was probably going to start by the time i got there

the theater was in the mall and it was taking too fucking long to get there

but finally, i entered just as the movie started

my friends, and sage were sitting on the topmost row

and there was one seat left, right at the edge

i climbed up the stairs, turning towards the seats

and sage was sitting right beside the only free seat

i could barely tell, due to the darkness but it was her.

i couldn't see her face properly, but i just knew she was smirking

still though, i sat down.

"you're early." she drawled
"something tells me you did this on purpose." i grimaced

did i really want to sit next to sage for two hours straight?
"so what if i did?"
"watch the movie sage." talking to sage was really to much work

she didn't respond, instead angled her popcorn towards me, silently offering me some

maybe it wasn't so bad to sit next to sage.
