"Daddy!" Rick was currently typing on his computer thinking about 3 things: Writing, Kate Beckett and his daughter currently screaming for him to come. "I'm coming, I'm coming."He let out a breath then shut his laptop and walked out. "Ever since he left the school he'd been thinking about Kate. Oh she was amazing! Gorgeous and bright and.. He didn't get to finish thinking because he was tackled on the sofa by his daughter. "HA! Got ya!" "Very funny." The both laughed and repositioned themselves. "What's up pumpkin." "I was bored." "Ahh, I see. Have you done your homework?" "Yes." "That's my girl, now let me think.. wanna eat some ice cream and watch a movie? The little girl's face didn't have to say yes but the expression could say for herself. "YA!!" "Ok then! Piggy back ride to kitchen?" "YA!" She jumped on her fathers back and they got to the kitchen and took out their ice cream. "Ok..Oreo or mint?" "Oreo!" "Oreo it is." He scooped out enough for the 2 of them and handed the bowl to his daughter. "Here pumpkin." "Thanks daddy." "Mmm Hmm. What movie should we watch?" "LION KING!" He chuckled and grabbed his ice cream, and sat on the couch. "Lion King it is. Wanna do it or me?" "Me!" "Ok, member how i showed you?" "yes!" Rick watched his daughter put the disk in the player and hit the play button. Followed by her running back into his arms and sitting down. "Very good young one." She giggled and shook her head. "daddy!" "What?!" She giggled more then turned her head to watch the 'Circle of Life' part. "Daddy do m..mu..muff." "Mufasa!" He said with a deep voice which made the little girl laugh. "Ya!" He chuckled and sat back opening his arms for the little girl to go in. She smiled and jumped in resting her head on his chest and smiling. "Thanks for this daddy." "Anytime sugar, forgive me for not being able to spend much time with you?" "It will have to do." Rick chuckled and gave a small smile. "Ok then." They turned their eyes back to the movie and Rick soon felt his little girl fall asleep on him peacefully. Smiling to himself he stood up and carried her to her room kissing her head and walking out, while closing the lights.He turned off all the lights downstairs then went into his room sliding into his huge bed, suddenly thinking about Kate Beckett again. Why wouldn't she get out of his mind?! She was like magnet ! Before he got too close he would have to see her true colors. Was she genuine or fake like most girls he'd met. Would she love Ally? The thoughts swirled through his head until they washed away after his eyes closed and was in a world of sleep. Only to wake to the sound of his door opening and small feet shuffle towards him, sitting up to see a small figure clenching on to her teddy bear. "D..Da..Daddy." She was crying and shaking, he knew it was a bad dream and patted the spot in his bed. "What's wrong pumpkin?" She climbed up and plopped down with puffy eyes. "Bad dream." "That's no fun." She shook her head and sniffled. "Can..Can..I sleep with you tonight?" He knew it was a bad idea, he wanted her in her own bed but he didn't want her scared either so he figured one night wouldn't hurt. "Sure pumpkin." She smiled and crawled next to him, getting under the cover and snuggling into his side. "Love you daddy." "Love you too pumpkin." he smiled and re-shut his eyes slowly drifting away into sleep. ~  "DADDY!!" "What! What!" He shot up in bed to the laughing child and raised and eyebrow, followed by a large yawn.  "What's wrong?!" "It's morning and i need food." "Right, right. Come on let's get you breakfast, and dressed. Then off to school. "ok." She smiled and jumped out running to the kitchen followed by her still asleep dad. "Ok All, what would you like?" "Cereal" "K" He poured cheerios and milk for her only to hear a loud scream beside him.
