"kwan," there was always that fluttering feeling in his stomach whenever seungkwan does something for him, he knows it's love but he needs to confirm it.

"i know but it's just— you were bullied before and i hate it whenever you get bullied again you know?" seungkwan spoke, facing vernon and felt his own heart skip a beat with how close their faces where. one wrong move forward and their lips will touch; vernon wanted that wrong move to happen.

silence drowned all the sounds around them before seungkwan quickly turned his head after noticing that he was staring at his best friend's lips.
his lips look.. soft. vernon thought as he tilted his head to the side— examine the older's lips as seungkwan's cheeks bloomed an addicting pink.

"u-um, let's eat now?" seungkwan asked, lightly slapping his cheeks as vernon chuckled while also grabbing their packed foods.
it was simple foods— kimchi fried rice but seungkwan was digging in immediately.

"seungkwan slow down—"
cough, cough.

this boy, vernon playfully rolled his eyes but still brought his hand up to seungkwan's back and started to pat gently.
"thank you," seungkwan coughed out after his choking incident— a rosy color painting itself on his face.

months passed, and vernon now confidently loops an arm around seungkwan whenever he sees him, whispering loving sentences to his lover's ear and watching blood rush up to his cheeks to create a blusher that would eventually go away.
he loved this feeling of having the older in his arms.

"baby, everyone knows we're a couple, let me show off what's mine," and seungkwan flushes more red.

their friends who were talking to seungkwan look at the couple with blank faces.
"that's it, i'm going to find cheol," spoke jeonghan.
"there goes my lunch," says jihoon, portraying that he was gonna throw up.
"you both are under arrest for show pda!" yelled chan as he quickly took hansol's hands to clasp behind him, "hey!" yelled hansol.
