Mickie comes down with rain, and rain runs up to me whispering, "Aunt Addie is crying and she's not letting anyone in her room, but she said she'd let you in..." I looked at Mickie and back down at the rain, nodded, and left the kitchen. I ran up to Addie's room and knocked softly, "Go away, please, I.. I'll be out in a second," she whispered, but it wasn't a "normal whisper", it was in a tone that gave off the fact that she was crying, and wouldn't be out any time soon. "Addie, hun please let me in." I heard her walk up to the door, and when she opened it, she held onto me in a way that told me she needed me. I pulled her as close as I could, and waited for her to talk.. As I didn't want to make it worse.
Finally she said "Anna, I hate seeing my son like this. I hate seeing him look so heart broken, so worried. He's not sleeping, and he's hardly eating. And I'm worried.. What happens if Nathan doesn't answer back? What... What if.. If he's dead?" She shook as she said the last part, not knowing what to say, I held her close and tried my best to calm her. "Addie, you can't keep thinking about the what ifs, I will get you an answer, that much I can, and will promise. Think positive, and don't let Jackson see you like this, it'll only make him worry more. So, when you need to vent, rant, or cry I'll be here. Always okay?"
She nodded and still didn't move, I soon noticed that she fell asleep, so I stayed there, didn't move a muscle until she woke up, 4 hours later...
