Maaannn I fr need to write more.
_______________________________All of us stared blankly at the note. No one but Tanjiro took note of the concern in my eyes, and he finally decided to say something.
"I think we've all noticed that someone is after you, (Y/n)." He took a step forward and placed his hand gently on my shoulder.
Shinobu shifter her weight from one hip to another in contemplation. "I would have to agree. The whole mess hadn't started until after you left the butterfly estate with your brother."
"Here's a thought..." Zenitsu drew our attentions away from the slip of paper. His messy self wondering around the room in hopes for something to clean the drowsiness off his face. "We have been looking for these things for a few months now, but because we are certain that they're after (Y/n), wouldn't it be easier for us to wait here for them to find us rather than for us to find them?"
We all nod in agreement.
"The men from yesterday clearly have a role to play in all of this." I glanced out of the window before closing the curtains, afraid that those men would make a second move while we are talking. "should I Just let them take me? It would be far more convenient. And you guys could follow behind." I turned the paper around and started drawing on it. As a reference of the plan. "They know I'm here and haven't had much time to rethink decisions and such, so they should be coming soon. If that's the case I would let them take me. It didn't seem like they had intention of harm anyway." I shrugged.
Yesterday I had been caught off guard from their pursuits. Making me almost scared. Being put into survival instinct by force was not a pleasant feeling.
Tanjiro grimaced at my plan. He had just gotten me back and wasn't too sure he liked the idea of me going through it all again.
"I love the idea. Let's go with that one." Shinobu nodded in her usual smile. "So let's remain as civilized as ever. Blend into the crowd. That way it is far more likely they will find (Y/n). Breakfast anyone? I'm sure Inosuke and Kanao are already downstairs." And with that she treaded down the hotel stairs.
The three of us remained silent. Though through the silence I could have sworn Zenitsu's glance in my direction was an indication that he heard my nervous heartbeat.
Zenitsu, my best friend was no doubt feeling the same way Tanjiro was. But the two boys could not put into words the emotions displayed so blatantly on their faces. And because of that, there were no phrases needed.
I was to fall right into the hands of the mastermind behind this long lasting chess game. And with this new plan, we were to put them in check mate.
"Listen. It'll be fine. It's what we want anyway right?" I smiled at the both of them.
But I had been lying. I was scared. Getting practically kidnapped was one thing but going to see their leader was another. This thing was worse than a demon and I had witness my own kin be possessed by it. When he had died at not only the entities hands but my own.
My smile fell flat the moment I turned away from the two of them to go downstairs for some breakfast. It was too early in the morning to be crying, so a sour mood would have to suffice.
My thoughts had played on repeat on the plan while I walked through the market later that day. Unarmed, but with my haori still on my back.
It was to draw them out. The rest of the group was following me silently but at a distance. Though it was hard to try to get Inosuke to act civilized. I was surprised that he even kept a haori on without his boar mask.
I stopped in front of a fruit stand and laughed when I noticed freshly picked oranges. Remembering the time when Inosuke had even eaten the skin. The face of disgust he made when he chewed on it was priceless.
The moment I stepped away from the stall I was up in the air.
If no one was paying attention they wouldn't have noticed that I had been lifted up into the air by none other than Ryker himself.
"Hey there girl. Don't try fighting this time. It's about to be a lot more difficult for you if you even think about throwing so much of a-"
I shrugged and kicked, trying to get out of his grasp. My acting skills weren't the best but I'm lucky that there wasn't much to it. I had to seem like I didn't need to be there.
"Damn you! Just stop moving!" And before I knew it I had been shot in the neck. A tranquilizer. I looked to my right and low and behold, There was Tashiro. Hidden on the roof of one of the older buildings in town.
The small dart that had been thrown at me fell from the constant movement.
"She's a lot heavier now that's she's slumped over!" Ryder complained while he ran away from town.
I couldn't move. I had to trust my team. There were following me for sure, I could feel it.
"Alright crazy. Now let's get you to your dear old man. What do you say?" Yashiro smiled wickedly at me and all I could do was roll my eyes.
I didn't believe him. My old man died years ago. There was no way he could have been silent for so long.
"Gross. At first I thought she was kind of cute but she's too wild. And you know how I like them wild! But her...?" Tashiro was right behind Ryker as they both ran.
I was 100% positive Zenitsu could hear every word coming from this man's mouth. And if Tanjiro heard a thing he was saying, he would be livid.
I wanted to laugh. Our plan was working.
