"What's his name? It's a beautiful ring." I place the ring into the demons hand and she clamps onto it desperately.
"I-I don't.... Sagike..." she said, finishing her sentence before withering away with the wind carrying her ashes. My hand flies to my head in pain for the poor soul with the loss of a loved one. We've all been there.Heading back into town left Zenitsu and I was tired after the long day.
"Do you think there will be a wisteria estate around here somewhere? I don't want to pay for a hotel room." Zenitsu drags his feat across the floor or the village.
"U-um excuse me..." a voice grabbed my attention "My father earlier, he was drunk and he didn't know what he was talking about. So I sincerely apologize in his behalf for his behavior." The little girl bowed her head.
"You must be Kagiruri."
"Yes ma'am."
"Thank you for letting me know." I say smiling. To be honest I forgot to look for her. That could have been bad.
"Chichichichichi! Head to the edge of town! Head to the edge of town! You're squad waits for you!" The birds flaps it wings to slay place in the air.
"Squad? That's a group of four people! What do you mean squad?"
"The headmaster issued an age group pairing method for more impressive results. You and your squad are labels S-class for teens. Many other children your age have entered the corps so there needs to be monarchy. (Y/n) (l/n), Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and Tanjiro Kamado!"
"S-class? Me an S-class? Why put me there when I'm gonna die soon?!" Tears started to form on the corner of Zenitsu's eyes
"Zenitsu have you met these other people before?" I asked him. Turning to me he points to another direction.
"I-INOSUKE STOP!" He screams in shear terror as a warthog-man ran quickly past me, tackling Zenitsu. They both go down in a brawl, with Zenitsu trying to get the man off of him. "Damn you!" He yelled
"I'm stronger than you Ganpachu! See? I tackled you down!" The warthog-man said. Trying to prove a clear point.
"That's not even my name!" Zenitsu cried under the man's hold. He tried to gain leverage by flipping himself over but to no avail.
"Inosuke calm down! Can't you see they're hurt?" A boy with brilliant burgundy hair that matched his eyes approached us from the side road. I could immediately tell he was kind hearted. His eyes held truth.
"Kampachirou! Fight me!" He yelled. I'm assuming the trio of boys were separated, that's why they're so friendly. My lips lift up in a smile as I watch them converse.
"(Y/n)!!!! Save meeeeee." Zenitsu scrambled from Inosuke and clung to my side, using my body as a shield.
"Wha..don't drag me into this!" I complain. This grabs the other two's attention and I see their eyes light up.
"FIGHT MEEEE-"
"Ah..Zenitsu you made a new friend! Who's this? The burgundy boy walks up to me and holds out his hand, dismissing Inosuke's yelling.
"(Y/n) (l/n) nice to meet you.....?" I shake his hand.
"Tanjiro Kamado! Sorry about Zenitsu's behavior. He's desperate you see..."
"What? No. He didn't do anything wrong."
"Well that's a first," he says chuckling to himself while scratching the back of his head. "Say...have you seen a demon around? Or anything abnormal?" He asks me. I laugh aloud at his naivety.
"Zenitsu and I took care of her a while ago." I laugh out, making sure to adjust myself to where Tanjiro could see my sword. He steps back in shock.
"I'm sorry! I didn't know you were a demon slayer too. We're you sent on this mission with Zenitsu?" Zenitsu tightens his grip on my leg sending me a reminder that he's there. I'd completely forgot about him.
"Well yeah, but I found her. Passed out cold. Literally. How did you even get there?" Zenitsu asks me. Inosuke's fuming self calmed down to join our conversation.
"Why don't we get out of the middle of the street and I'll tell you?" Cocking my head to the side a bit with my suggestion. As we travel to a local hotel, we continue talking about their relationship with each other and Tanjiro told me the story on how they Met.
"A moving room? How is that even possible with physics?" I ask, but Tanjiro shrugs.
"With demons, anything could happen." He said.
"Ain't that the truth. I got teleported here somehow." I lower my gaze remembering my brother who I left behind to deal with that demon. I need to get back to him somehow. But he can take care of himself.
"Teleportation? Isn't that impossible?" Zenitsu asked. I shrugged the same way Tanjiro did. Zenitsu stares at me for a solid minute before I see his eyes light up. "Tanjiro. Where's Nezuko?" Who's Nezuko? Is she supposed to be another S-class?
"She's in the box right now. I'll bring her out once we get a room."
"What? You kept a girl in a box? How rude! How does she even fit in there anyway?" I spout questions at Tanjiro as he backs away, putting his hands up in defense.
"I'll explain once we get inside!" He says nervously, glancing around at the people in the streets. Out of nowhere, Inosuke slams his boar head into the wall of the building, startling me. He wobbles back a bit before going at it again. "You're still on that Inosuke? You'll get a concussion."
"I don't care! I have to train to be the strongest. To beat up every demon!" The people around us laugh at Inosuke's ridiculousness. The boys start to argue again and I sigh, shaking my head. There's no point in trying to stop them. I continue to walk and they follow me, yelling at each other. The people stare at us on the streets. My calloused fist clenched together in annoyance.
"Oh my gods shut up! You guys can argue all you want when you get to your own room. But come on, really? Are you this loud in public all the time?" The trio of boys looked at me in shock. Zenitsu starts to cry and Tanjiro bows to where his head is to the floor in apology. Inosuke just looks the other way and scoffs.
