By 3pm the next morning, April had just stepped into her apartment after a long and delayed flight. She was exhausted and couldn't wait to soak herself in a nice lavender bubble bath.

Leaving home with the way everything was, had been difficult for her but somehow Colt had been able to get her mind off of things. The night before she'd left, he'd treated her to a very nice and special dinner, not a date. Despite the cold, they'd still been able to make the best of the night.

Firstly, he had taken her to Sweet Delight, a new restaurant which had just opened up last month and was pulling quite the attention. They were even fortunate enough to have gotten the last table. Colt believed it was a good sign.

As they talked over dinner, they laid out all their issues, anything that may have caused their feud back then, on the table and they seriously talked about it. By the time they were walking out of the restaurant, they both felt better. They weren't back to one hundred percent though but they were certainly on their way there.

Earlier before their dinner, April had also gone to return a few books back to Martha and then said good bye before she left. Right after saying goodbye again, she had driven another five miles to the new facility her dad had been transferred to.

There had been tears, most of them from Ben and she had forgiven him.

Evelyn, although she wanted to come, had simply written him a letter, printed it out and given it to April to give him on her behalf. Along with her letter, she had also added a copy of the bible, something she felt he needed.

With a weary sigh, she plops down on the couch and takes off her boots, then unwraps the green scarf Evelyn had gotten her from her neck.

The traffic on her way back home was something else. It was like everyone who'd travelled for the holiday had decided to come back home the same time she was coming back. Although she was home now, the traffic still continued down in the major streets of Brooklyn.

Determined to freshen up first before anything, she runs herself a bath and minutes later was soaking herself in the foamy mixture. Another fifteen minutes later, she steps out, rinses off the soap and wraps a clean towel over her body.

Tugging a white NYC hoodie over her head and putting on a matching white pair of sweatpants, she trudges into the living room to attend to her bags which she had abandoned. Just as she had begun to get out her clothes, sorting out which one ended to go into the laundry basket and which was needed to be placed in the closet, the door bell rings.

With fatigue still surging through her veins and taking control of her muscles, she ignores it, still getting out the clothes. Three minutes later and the door bell still hadn't stopped ringing. Agitated and ready to rip off the wiring, she stomps to the door and pulls it open.

Rachel.

"Hey April! It's so good to see you again," she beams, strolling past April and into her apartment. Whatever Rachel had stuffed down her throat or pushed up in her head, April was in no mood to hear it. One problem Rachel had, was ranting. She was a nice girl but the girl could literally keep on talking for over an hour about something that only she would be interested in.
