Cherry used to enjoy the rush, thrill and attention the frat work had. She used to like how she could cut through lines whenever she felt like it and basically get away with anything. How she would be invited to the biggest parties on and off campus, how the guys would ogle her, even though it had been made fully clear that she was taken by Xavier.

She used to like it all but now she wanted out. Cherry was fed up with the lifestyle. For some reason which was unaware to her, it had started to bother her. The jobs had gotten more dangerous and keeping it a secret from her family was beginning to nearing impossible. She knew if she continued, her parents would find out and it would add to the trauma her family was facing.

Being a member of the frat community on campus had it's perks. Most people believed that the only points added to a member of the frat house, was the respect and popularity, the ability to weave one's way through tight situations but that wasn't it. The frat members were all known to be rich kids, people with high connections but no one knew how they made their income.

The frat house was like a gang, no one spoke of the secrets that went on inside the house to anyone who wasn't a member. They pushed in drugs into the streets, without the cops having a single knowledge of it, sold a lot and made a shocking amount of money.

They also transported guns to buyers through illegal black markets. All these they were able to do with the right people on the look out and with the right information. Every member of the frat house had a role to play and finding a replacement wasn't a walk in the park.

Loud music bounced off of the walls of the building as drunk college students swayed about with the music, knocking over items and groping at each other. It was the usual scenery every
last day of the month and any other typical day.

Unlike the others, Cherry was feeling tired and worn out. The coffee she'd made for herself before the party wasn't having any effect and now she was ready to hit the bed.

Gulping down another shot of the burning alcohol, hoping it would keep her up, she gives up and places the glass shot down on the kitchen counter, pushes away from Xavier who was standing behind her, his arms around her waist whilst he talked with a couple of his friends.

Trudging up the stairs, she feels her vision beginning to get blurry and she starts gropping around. A hand grips her around her waist just as she's about to stumble and she looks up blindly at the person preventing her from face planting. She could easily tell from the blurry silhouette that it was Xavier.

"Hey, are you good babe?" he asks, pulling her towards him. "I gotta rest. I'm so tired," she replies, rubbing wearily at her eyes.

"Sure, do you need me to call off the party? " he asks, a look of concern on his face. It warmed Cherry's heart to think that even beneath all that bad boy facade he'd set up, he was actually a caring guy.

"No, don't worry. Keep the party going. I'm just gonna go rest and you can join me whenever you want, " she yawns and begins to push away from him when he tightens his grip around her waist.

"I'll be right back," he says, placing a kiss on her forehead and slips back into the crowd. Minutes later, he reappears. "You're not going to stay with the guys?" she yawns, trying to keep her eyes open.
