The week with Nathan's family went well, probably because his dad had to work most of the time and we spent time with his mother and sister. We left the truck in the Prescott's garage when Kristine drove us to the airport to fly to Florida.

When we got off the plane, I already saw my mother waiting for us, so we took our bags and walked towards her. "Hey mom." I said, hugging her. "Hey sweetie." My mother said and sounded really happy. "And you must be Nathan. I've heard a lot about you." Nathan smiled. "Yes, Nathan Prescott. Glad we finally got to meet." He said, sounding as friendly as never before. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it as my mother looked surprised for a second but then she smiled warmly at us. "Let' get in the car, you're sister must be dying from curiosity." She said and we walked to the car, where my sister was already waiting.

I quickly hugged her, she was probably the person I missed the most in Arcadia. "Hey, Maddie." I said and felt a little teardrop running down my cheek. Then, I turned to Nathan. "That's my sister Maddie. And Maddie, this is Nathan." "Glad to meet you." Maddie said and smiled. She was four years younger than me, but we always had lots of fun playing together. "Glad to meet you too." Nathan responded. Then we got in the car, my sister sat in the front seat, Nathan and I sat in the back seat and I checked my phone to see if I got any messages during the flight, but the only message I got was from Nathan only a few seconds ago.

'wanna do u so fuckin bad right now'

I looked over at him and saw that he had a dirty smirk on his face and I rolled my eyes but smiled.

After a while, we arrived a our house and got out. When we got in the house, I first showed Nathan the way to my room where we changed our clothes and then we went to the living room where my family was already waiting for us.

"So..." My father started. "You must be Nathan... Prescott, right?" I knew that my father had a problem with the Prescotts since he lost his job in one of their companies, but this wasn't Nathan's fault and I hoped that my dad would see that too. I also noticed that Nathan became nervous when he saw that my father was suspicious. He grabbed my hand and I slightly stroked the back of his hand with one finger to calm him down. "Yes, sir." He responded.  "And this is my brother, Eric." I quickly said so that my dad didn't get the chance to say anything that would be awkward for all of us. "Hey." My brother said, sounding kinda bored. He was three years older than me and usually didn't come out of his room often, just when we ate together or something. "Hi." Nathan responded and then we sat down on the couch and my parents started asking just too many question which Nathan always tried to answer honestly and politely. After a while, my mother asked me and my siblings to help her in the kitchen and I exactly knew that it was probably the time where my father would tell Nathan that if he would ever hurt me or anything, he wouldn't be alive for any longer. Yes, I always hated it when my dad became protective, because he mostly overreacted then. "You can do it." I whispered towards Nathan before I stood up and went into the kitchen with my mother, Maddie and Eric.

My brother asked if he could go to his room and my mother nodded, so he walked out. "So..." I was actually curious. "What do you think about him?" "He's seems friendly and polite." My mother said. "And he looks good." My sister added and chuckled. I rolled my eyes. "I think you're right, Maddie." My mother responded and laughed. "You two held hands the whole time, that was cute." Maddie told me, looking excited and happy. We helped our mother cooking dinner and setting the table and after a while, my dad came in, alone.

"I was wrong about the boy." He said without context and I looked at him confused. "At first I wasn't happy that you had fallen in love with a Prescott" The way he said the name sounded utterly disgusted though. "But he seems to make you happy, so if you really like him, so be it." "Thank you, dad." I answered but then I wondered where Nathan was. "Oh, he still sits in the living room." My dad told me after he noticed that I was a bit confused. I walked out the door to talk to Nathan.

When I stood in the door frame and Nathan noticed me, he sighed in relief. "What did he tell you? Was it that he would kill you if you should ever do anything?" I asked amused. "That too, but actually he told me that you had hard times being hurt and that I should always be a gentleman. And he adviced me to be careful, 'cause you can kill people with one look.' " Nathan joked. "Oh and I absolutely meant what I wrote you" The smirk on his face made me blush slightly. "Dinner must be ready now. Let's go to the kitchen." I said and then we ate together with my family and sat on the table for almost three hours, until my parents became tired and went to bed. Nathan and I went to my room, but not to sleep. Even though we had to be quiet, it was a wonderful night that we spent together.
