Astronomy- Conan Gray
Lizzie POV:
The suppressed silence filled the car on the ride back to my house, my mind filled with the rushing thoughts of tonights dinner. He forgave me. I don't know how? Or rather why?
I didn't deserve it, he deserves to be with Florence they seemed happy together. This talk about him deciding to commit his life to her seemed serious, but I didn't want to be the one to get in the way of that.
Not again.
I already ruined his happiness once and I'd be dammed if I make the same mistake twice. The conceding lies I told him to cover up my actions makes me sick each time it comes to mind. I love Ford, I always will but I know he will never feel the same again.
Back when times were simpler, we were two lovesick kids just crazy about one another. Never wanting to be apart and soaking each moment in with each other.
Ford POV:
Green had always been my favorite color. I never had an explanation for it, I just thought it looked nice. I now realize why I loved the color so much. It's because every time I saw it, I thought of her. Her mesmerizing green orbs fixated me into a trance.
This is me trying.
Trying to leave her in the past and focus on a future with someone who actually loved me. Someone who cared about my feelings.
The drive home seemed endless. My thoughts raced a mile a minute about the whole situation. Florence on the other hand, had her head rested against the window of the door.
Completely unaware of my painstaking thoughts of the girl I hadn't seen since I left.
When we did finally arrive home, I made quick work of carrying her into the house. She only seemed to fall into a deeper sleep as I picked her up.
I placed her on our bed in the rear of the house, which Florence had taken the liberty of decorating. She had just finally settled into the house after deciding to make the move so we could live together.
People would think that the way we worked was odd. But we made it work as best we could. There's only so much you can do as a club player, traveling to a different state almost each week.
Or to consider that my girlfriend travels to different countries for months on end for filming. In short, it wasn't as perfect as the press made it seem. Speculating that two successful celebrities could make their different jobs work with such little encounter at a time.
As we both turned in for the night the only sound throughout the house was the air conditioning unit switching on time after time. Oh and Flo's dog Billie, who cuddled in the space between us on the bed.
The next morning, I woke up to cold sheets and alone in my bed. No music was played from the kitchen as it was every morning since she had moved in. I sat up to find an opened suitcase on the floor, packed to almost the brim.
Confusion etched my face as I sat dumbfounded as to why a suitcase was on the floor packed and the better question, why was it filled with Flo's stuff?
Pulling on a t-shirt from the closet, I make my way to an empty living room. Same with the kitchen and the bathroom down the hall. 'Where has she gone?' I thought, wondering where she had gone too this early in the morning.
Just as I had turned to go back to my room, the front door opened. The blonde beauty stepped in the house, carefully closing the door behind her. Two styrofoam coffee cups occupied her hands as she did her best to tip toe into the kitchen without any sound.
