Put A Little Love On Me- Niall Horan
(Here's a quick little chapter and its my birthday so I wanted to incorporate someones birthday into this one so I hope you enjoy it!)
No One POV:
September 13th, 2019:
She could see it.
The ways the willow trees tussled in the wind. The way their green leaves placed themselves around her, coating a quiet ambience.
But most of all, she could see him.
The way his dimples were visible as soon as he smiled his wide smile. They had been laying on the grass, just under the tree, trying to soak in what little time left they had together before she had to run off to some distant city again.
A small wooden basket rested between them, the distance well enough to see how happy they were just sat in the others company. "I can't believe you did all this" she looked out as the lake, just beneath the hanging branches.
The late afternoon turned into sunset remnants of the evening. She liked it. Away from the bustling crowds and the press who knew not of the secret that only they knew of for the past few months.
"You deserve the best. Plus, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to set up a good picnic" his devilish grin made her shy coyly in her place. She slowly pushed the basket to the side, crawling over to rest between his legs.
Her back now against the front of his chest, trying her best not to let him know her heart was thumping rapidly against her chest. They both stared out at the lake, watching as the ripples outlined the areas of the water.
She felt safe, wrapped up in his arms. Like nothing in the world mattered besides that moment.
His lips brushed against the exposed skin on her shoulder blade, a small reminder of his presence. Her hair, once pulled back into a loose bun, now had small flyaways creeping into her eyes.
She tried to push the feeling off further but as she reveled in his touch. She turned back to face him, eager to connect their lips in a passionate kiss. His hands fell to her sides, tugging her impossibly closer onto his lap.
Her hushed hums and moans became almost impractical after his lips moved downward to nip at the nape of her neck. "Ford, we're in public" she managed to get out but wasn't complaining about it.
"Do you want to go back to my place?" she heard him whisper, pulling away to look back into her eyes. The woman tugged her lip between her teeth, trying to hide the fact she was breathless from the small make out session.
She didn't utter any words, instead she tugged at his hand pulling them both up. He watched as she smiled, happily. Her sundress somehow coordinated with his button-down shirt, unplanned but perfect.
The couple cleaned up their things, Ford retrieving the basket while she took the soft blanket they rested upon under the tree.
Soon, they found themselves tangled between the soft, silk sheets of the large bed. Her sundress pooling in a ball on the floor as he wasted no time in undressing her. Her once red lipstick was stained, smudged, well- more like gone after the amount of kissing they shared.
Her hands dug into his back, scratching at the skin underneath her fingertips. He was happy to shower her with all the love and praise as they spent the entire night enveloped in one another.
