Chapter Twelve

I fistfight my stalker

I started making my way up the stairs and heard clawing at the window.

I turned the lights on upstairs, and two huge yellow eyes were staring through the glass.

I opened the massive round window, and Isha crawled through.

"Did you have fun with Diago?" I asked

"Eh, he's alright, he's so clingy, but he's okay, I guess."

"Mhm, clingy," I said, "how can anyone ever have such a clingy friend," I said, winking.

A deep rumbling came from her throat "at least it's better than being completely distant from anyone I know," she said, jumping across the beds. Trying to find the comfiest one.

"Ohh, now that's cold!" I laughed while chasing after her.

"Cold but true!" she mused.

I jumped across the bed, landing on her back. She curled up and flipped on her back. I maneuvered around her wide wings curling on the bed.

"I love you, Isha, you know that, right '' I said sleepily.

"Of course I do, kiora. I love you too." she nestled her head around me.

Laying in a fire dragon's warm arms makes you fall asleep faster than anything.

I fell into a familiar dream.

I had a feeling I'd seen these people before, but I could never figure it out.

I was inside a cave on the side of a massive cliff. A beautiful lady sat against a wall, a small fire clicking. A few people walked around it. It was too dark to see any of them clearly. My eyes kept fluttering back to the lady whose silver hair floated around her like she had her own orbit. A thin blanket was draped over her. She tried to stand, but one of the people, a smaller girl with thick braids, ran up to her and urged her to sit back down. I couldn't hear anything but the way she pushed her off. I knew something bad was happening or already did happen.

Everyone's attention was snapped to the cave opening when two men came walking in. one literally shined in the dark like he was his own sun, and the other's clothes looked like someone took the night sky with stars and all and wove it into the fabric.

They both ran right to the lady with the silver hair. They embraced each other tightly. The silver-haired woman draped the blanket, and the man's face turned from worry to excitement to worry again. The one with stars placed his hand on her large belly.

She's pregnant, I realized.

The shining man walked closer to the fire and tightly took the lady in silver's hand. Tears swelled in the lady's eyes as the man hugged her shoulders tightly.

They looked so similar yet so different. Like day and night.

Something happened outside that rattled the entire cave, stalactites fell from the ceiling, and the two men ran outside. The silver lady tried to stand, but what I decided had to be her husband or brother was talking to her.

Always the same, she stayed while he left slowly but surely. Everyone in the cave left but the silver lady and another woman.

A stunning red wolf came trotting into the cave he was breathing heavily. Talking to the two ladies.

I knew the ending was coming soon. It always happened at the same time the wolf came in, and the dream ended.

This scene started to fade away. Slowly melting into the darkness like it always did. The silver lady looked up at me, and her deep silver eyes made me uneasy, like she was really looking at me.
