So this is a one-year later after Sooyoung's graduation and Chanyeol's proposal to Chaeyoung. Finally, the whole gang is gathering after a while at Minseok's Universe Café for a late-night party. Let's count the people! So there are: the owner of the place, Minseok; the manager of the café, Jongdae; the newly-wed couple, Chanyeol & Chaeyoung; the rising couples, Sehun & Sooyoung and Junmyeon & Jisoo and Baekhyun & Taeyeon; and the left out singles, Joohyun and Kyungsoo. Sounds like everyone is here! (*finger crossed* I hope!)
They are making some BBQ and pouring some drinks along the way. They are eating, laughing, and toasting the drinks more and more.
"I invited Jihyo to join us today but she seems so busy with her children." Minseok says and looks at Chanyeol who is sitting next to him
"Nae! Daniel Hyung is going to the states so nobody helps her looking after the kids now." Chanyeol answers and Minseok nods. Yes, Jihyo is married to Kang Daniel before Chanyeol did and she has two sons now.
"By the way, how is you guys' married life?" Baekhyun asks by pointing at Chanyeol and Chaeyoung. They both at each other and laugh
"Nothing changes much since we still resume our living style, but Mr. CEO seems to work overtime almost every day now and left his wife eating alone most of the time." Chaeyoung teases Chanyeol as since he became the CEO of her father's company, he has been packed with work and barely has time to spend with his wife.
"Mianhae! Mrs. Park. I will ask the chairman to give me some space." OMOOO... the way he says Mrs. Park
"By the way, why did you ask? Don't tell me you are planning to..." Chaeyoung points her finger at Baekhyun. Taeyeon is hiding her shy smile
"Yah! Why did you say this? It's supposed to be between us first." Baekhyun screams at Chaeyoung while everyone is laughing at his reaction
"I think we might want to spend some time as a couple first. It was so hard to gain my father's approval." Taeyeon adds to Baekhyun's words
"Yeah, he just approved of us dating and I need to prove to him better that I can take care of Taeyeon before we can take a step further." Baekhyun grabs Taeyeon's hand and they exchange a soft smile
"It must have been tough on you guys but you always have our support. You know, right?" Jisoo smiles at both of them to encourage them.
Since Taeyeon moved in to live with Baekhyun 4 years ago, they have gone through a lot of obstacles, especially, the disapproval from Taeyeon's father. She had to go through a few trials for her divorce. Her father also tried to break her from Baekhyun multiple times but this time, the couple didn't give in easily like last time. They fought back and Baekhyun has been proving his worth to Taeyeon's father that he is capable of taking care of her with his career and heart, as well as the help from Taehyung, Taeyeon's younger brother, to show that this couple is really in love with each other. So, this time, her father gave in and approved of them being together.
"If you guys want to know the more experienced married couple, you should have asked our Jongdae." Minseok puts his arm around Jongdae's shoulder as he speaks "This is a married man with two kids already."
"Yeah, Jongdae is the most unexpected one. I still remember he suddenly announced his marriage out of nowhere. Not to mention that his financé was with a child in her belly already." Chanyeol adds to Minseok's statement and everyone is laughing
"Yeah, I know that it was unexpected for you guys but she is always the one for me, so I didn't hesitate." Jongdae says like a true gentleman
"You guys should get married already so as not to take Jongdae's footsteps." Chanyeol points his finger at Junmyeon and Jisoo. Yes, these two are engaged and moved in together too but they are waiting for the right time to get married somewhere next year
"Don't worry! I will always consent with Jisoo regarding this matter." Junmyeon smirks. Jisoo is covering her blushing face and playfully hits Junmyeon's arm
"How about you two?" Jisoo asks and looks at Sehun and Sooyoung. They both look at each other and sigh heavily
"She spends her time in the States more than at her home." Sehun looks at Sooyoung and pouts
"Excuse me, Mr. CEO! Who defuq assigned me to that kind of work?" Sooyoung replies with fire in her eyes
"Sehun-ah! Don't overwork my sister. I might bring her back to our home. We are more than capable to raise her." Chaeyoung glares at Sehun playfully too
"Right, Eonnie! Take me back! Sehun Oppa has been taking advantage of my skillsets." Sooyoung playfully pouts at Chaeyoung to take her back from Sehun
"Arrasseo! Mian!" Sehun places his head on Sooyoung's shoulder, holds her arm, and acts like a little kid. Eventually, she laughs at his kid's side of her boyfriend
"Am I the only one feeling uncomfortable here?" Kyungsoo finally says something!
"Nado!" Joohyun raises her hand and says something too after everyone was all about the couple's life.
"This happens when we are the only single people in the group." Minseok adds as he is also single here too "Let's grab a drink somewhere else." Minseok gets up to grab Kyungsoo's and Joohyun's hands and acts like they are leaving because of being single. Everyone is laughing and taking them back down to sit.
"Mianhae! Let's raise a toast to our single and shining stars. Minseok Hyung, Kyungsoo and Joohyun!" Sehun proposed the toast and everyone is raising the toast too
"Cheers!!!!" everyone screamed raising the toast
Life is unpredictable and bittersweet. But when you spend with the right people, the right result will come too!
