A few more weeks had passed since Jon's incident with Joe and Colby. The men were hardly speaking, but Jon would try to earn their trust back. Baby Chloe was now a month old too. Mercedes couldn't believe how quickly it went by. However, later that day she was trying to get some family photos done. She was excited to finally take some professional photos with her baby girl.

"My beautiful little love bug! You are just too beautiful, sweet girl." Mercedes proudly gleamed at her daughter once she was awake from her nap. Ashley shortly came over as she was going to do Mercedes' hair and makeup. Once she was finished getting ready, she agreed to take their photos as well.

"Hi beautiful girls!" Ashley grinned as she saw her best friend and newest niece.

"Hey Ash! Thank you for coming, I really appreciate it." Mercedes smiled, taking her free arm to hug the tall blonde.

"Of course, let's get you started." She beamed as the girls headed upstairs. After Mercedes nursed baby Chloe and put her back down to sleep, Ashley got started on her hair and makeup.

"Is Jon coming?" The tall blonde asked while letting Mercedes' dark brown locks fall into some loose curls.

"Yeah he should be. At least that's what he told me." Mercedes responded before taking a drink of her coffee.

"How's it going with him?" She asked as she sprayed some hairspray in her hair to keep it in place for the photo shoot.

"It's been good. I don't fully trust him yet though, which I feel like is reasonable. But he's been a bit more hands on and nicer." She admitted before closing her eyes since Ashley was beginning her eye makeup.

"Do you wanna stay with him?" Ashley asked as Mercedes felt like she got hit with a ton of bricks.

"If he's nice yeah, I want my family together. I don't want Chloe to not have a dad like I did." She sighed as Ashley understood.

"But if he's gonna be in and out then that's gonna do more damage, so who knows what'll happen." She shrugged while finishing her thoughts, putting them to words.

Later that day, the three headed off to the photo shoot. Ashley was more than happy to take these photos for her (basically) little sister and baby niece. When they first got there, Ashley wanted to get her camera set up. Photography was something she liked to do as a hobby outside of WWE, hence why Mercedes asked her to take the photos. Once Ashley was all set up, she began taking photos of Chloe while Mercedes checked her phone.

"Ugh!" She sighed before turning her attention to her best friend and baby girl.

"What's wrong?" Ashley asked as she turned towards the petite brunette.

"Jon just told me he's not coming! I don't know why! This is important for our daughter!" Mercedes exclaimed while trying not to cry.

"Oh shit." Ashley said as she felt her blood boiling but had to calm down.

"Is it travel? Did he say why?" She asked, hugging her friend tight.

"No! He just said he's not coming! I knew I shouldn't have let him come back around." She sighed, shaking her head. Mercedes was pissed. She should've known better than to let Jon back around. She was just trying to keep her family together. But at what cost is it worth fighting for?
