Three Months Later|August

"Hey baby girl! How are you?" Joe asked his girlfriend as he answered her FaceTime call.

Mercedes and Joe were doing great in their relationship. They've been together almost four months and things were better than ever. He went back on the road a little after Mackenzie was six weeks old. Mercedes was fine with the three girls by herself while he worked.

Since he was back on the road, Joe had a huge match that night. It was the night of SummerSlam. Once he returned, they began building up his storyline for the big match. It was the biggest event of the summer, so stakes were high.

Roman Reigns had a huge one on one match against John Cena. It was similar to their first storyline back in 2017. Now, Roman Reigns was a different animal inside the squared circle. So, John Cena would not get the same Roman Reigns. The fans were very excited to see them face off in the ring again.

"I'm good, a little tired so I've been laying down while the girls are sleeping. We're so excited to watch you tonight baby." She gave a tired smile before rubbing her eyes.

"I'm glad you will be watching. I miss you girls so much, I can't wait to get back home." He expressed as Joe hated leaving the girls. It was part of the job however, giving him something to look forward to at the end of the evening.

"We miss you too, Chlo keeps asking for you. I know they'll be so excited to see you when you get home." She responded as the girls have gotten very attached to Joe. He was basically their father figure at this point. Neither Joe or Mercedes minded how much they wanted him. If anything, it relieved Mercedes that the girls had a positive male role model in their lives.

"I will be happy to see them too, as well as you beautiful. But I gotta hop off here to get ready. I'll talk to you later baby, I love you." He grinned at his girlfriend through the phone screen.

"I love you too babe! Good luck." She gleamed as they hung up the phone.

Mercedes ended up falling asleep while the girls were still asleep. They were all up a bit later. She got all three girls fed and situated before SummerSlam would start. Chloe and Katiana were very excited to see their Aunt Ashley and Aunt Rebecca. They were also excited to see Uncle Colby, Uncle Fergal, and Joe on the screen. Even though they didn't understand the business at their young age, it was still heartwarming to see their reactions as they saw their family on the television.

Mercedes and her girls happily watched SummerSlam. Chloe and Katiana only stayed up for a little bit of it though as they went to bed around nine. Due to her being nursed, Mackenzie would go to bed whenever Mercedes did. She at least wanted to stay up to watch Joe's match.

Mercedes was so proud of her lover with his match. Joe delivered a great match with John. He won as well. However, Mercedes was caught off guard. She was now nursing Mackenzie, laying in bed. She was scrolling through social media before something caught her eye.

"What the hell?" Mercedes asked herself while looking on social media. She saw a lot of rumors and reports of people spotting her and Joe out together. She knew something would be said. However, they were still private. Their friends didn't even know they were together yet.

"This just sounds like a problem for tomorrow." She whispered while finishing Mackenzie's feed, the two falling asleep. Mercedes did not want to deal with all of the drama. Everyone would find out when she was good and ready for them to know.
