A few weeks had passed since Mercedes gave birth to baby Katiana. She was adjusting well to having two girls fourteen months apart. She was still healing from giving birth, but was healing well. The adjustment was also an up and down situation with Chloe. That was okay though as Mercedes knew it wasn't going to be perfect, given her current age and the new change.

However, Mercedes knew she'd be giving her girls another big adjustment. She wasn't as worried this time though. She decided to sell her home. She wanted a fresh start. She didn't want to deal with all of the toxic memories and energy in the house anymore.

Mercedes and the girls would be staying with Rebecca and Colby until she bought a new home. Her selling the home was very impulsive, but would be good in her healing process. Colby and Rebecca didn't mind either, they just did not want Jon in their home or to hear of him near Mercedes and the girls. They did have to give her a bit of tough love, which she understood. Mercedes was ready to close that chapter of her life and begin a new one.

"Alright, everything is packed that we need for now. It's time to get the hell out of here." Mercedes said to herself as she went to go put some of their most important belongings in some luggage, taking it out to the car. She went back inside to get the girls, getting them situated in the car before heading to her best friends' home.

"Welcome back girls!" Colby joked, making Mercedes laugh. Rebecca was on her way home from doing a fitness photo shoot, so Colby would be helping to get the girls settled in again.

"Thanks bub, I appreciate you guys letting us stay while I get us a new house. We need a fresh start so bad. I have no regrets selling this house." She replied now that they were inside.

"Hey I don't blame you. You wanna get out of that situation. This is a good start as well as you two not contacting each other. Let him be shitty somewhere else. You three deserve better." He responded as Mercedes got the girls back down to sleep, falling asleep herself with the babies in the guest room which would now be their room. It may be a long road ahead to heal, but Mercedes wanted to do whatever it takes.
