Tsukasa's POV, Dialogue.

"Tatsuya? Tatsuya wake up.."

I opened my eyes, finding a thin purple haired boy sitting beside me.

"I- huh?"

He then wrapped his arms around me, his body following soon after.

"Sigh~"

My face turned bright red.

Wh-Who does this guy think he is?? Touching me in such a profound manner... truly unacceptable. Does he even know who he's dealing with-? Wait. No he doesn't. I guess we could stay like this a little longer...

The bright yellow-eyed smiled a little. "Tatsuya. Do you know what time it is?"

"Erm... no..."

"It's freaking three in the morning."

"Really? May I ask... what exactly happened earlier?" I questioned.

(Rui's POV) - 'Huh. He speaks so formally towards me. Who is this man exactly?'

I gave an annoyed look.

"Ah! Right. My name is Rui Kamishiro. I live outside the castle walls, right in the little meadow I found you at earlier. After speaking to you a little, you seem to have fainted right in front of me. It was of course my duty as a gentleman to carry you to the nearest clinic. But uh... I don't seem to have any money to pay the doctor... that's why we ended up here."

"WAIT- You ran away????"

"Yeah. I did run. But it was for both our sakes."

This imbecile. I could've just paid the fees easily...

"Mmm... So erm... Rui, was it? Where are we exactly?"

"We're at a little shed I discovered after the king disposed of it. It seems to have supplies, I guess I could live off this for the next two months or so."

His eyes lit up like he's just won the jackpot.

Wait what-?? Just a few bags of rice, a pot, and some seaweed isn't enough at all! Not even for one day! How does he see any of this as treasure, yet alone gold itself?

Rui chuckled.

"You didn't seem at all surprised when I began to cuddle you."

Huh. So this is a cuddle. It feels nice... and warm... I haven't had anybody cuddle me ever since mother passed. But Rui's cuddles... they feel comforting. So comforting that I could stay here forever...

I slowly closed my eyes as I drifted away into the warmth of Rui's arms.

"Tatsuya? Are you falling asleep?..."

Rui's soothing voice began to fade away, as all I could think about is getting rest. I haven't been so comforted in so long. I like this feeling.

Abandoned shed. 10:43am.

As the sun rose, and the clouds became noticeable once again, I found myself still in the shed, in Rui's arms.

"Mm~ Ahh...~ What's going on...?"

I opened my eyes as fast as I could, but all I could see was total darkness.

It was Rui. He was hugging me tight, fast asleep, my face deeply delved into his chest.

Why am I still here... I mean sure, Rui's really... mmm~... but I need to get back to the castle!! I bet father is worried about me, leaving and not returning for a whole night. Toya must be worried sick... now I feel bad.

"R-Rui..."

All Rui could hear at this point was muffling.

"Oh, hey Tatsuya. You're awake. How was your rest?"

"Mmmm..." I muffled into Rui's chest as he began to notice I wanted to be let go.

"Oh right. I'm sorry."

Rui then lifted my head up by the chin and tilted it towards his own face.

Rui blushed.

"You look... very... ahh..."

I gave him a look of confusion.

He continued on, "you look very..."

"Handsome."

Toya's POV, Dialogue.

Meanwhile, back at the castle...

"Has Tsukasa returned from his outing?"

"N-no sir."

The king let out a massive sigh.

"I'm worried about him."

He's not wrong. We're all worried about him, It's not just the king. I'm probably the one who's worried about him the most. Tsukasa-Senpai has been like the brother I never had. He's the last of the 'known' Tenmas, other than the king himself... he's our last hope, really. It's been a whole night and he hasn't returned yet... I hope he's safe out there. Did he get fed up about the whole 'marriage' thing? I mean yeah, he does have to get married anytime soon.

Wait...

Did he get pissed because...

He got told to marry a woman?

Back at the shed.

"Rui... Rui... RUI!! I need to leave..."

Rui slowly slipped his gentle grasp out of my hair for a second and sighed. He then let me go and carefully sat me down on the bed we were just on a second ago. He stood up.

"Alright. We'll go back to our meadow."

'Our' meadow...??

"I-I- Uh... then that's settled" I stuttered as Rui lifted me up and put my arms around his neck.

"How about I give you a piggyback ride home, hm?"
