13 || Croissant

"What the actual fu-" Nene began to gag.

Rui tapped Nene on the shoulder. "Don't curse on the dining table, Nene." He smiled at her and she gave him a disgusted frown back. "It's just a croissant, it won't do you any harm."

"But it looks so-" Nene then turned over to her side and threw up. This lasted for about three minutes, three minutes until Rui carefully finally the croissant from her sight. Nene sighed, "Thank the lord..." She then sprinted all the way to the bathroom.

I turned to face Rui, "You think she'll be okay?"

Rui sighed and gave me a face of concern, "I hope so. What's so bad about a simple croissant?" He burst into laughter. I shook my head and Rui patted me on the back. "It's all right, Tsukasa-kun. She'll be fine. Promise." I gave Rui a stare. He blushed, but turned his head away at rapid speed.

A few minutes later, Nene came back.

"I-I'm sorry... did I make a mess?" She poked Toya on the back as he was cleaning up the mess she made.

Toya gave her a warm smile, "It's nothing too bad, trust me."

Nene sighed in relief. "Phew... can I... help you clean?"

Toya laughed. "That'll be great, thank you."

Nene then picked up a cloth from behind Toya, and she began to wipe her own vomit. Toya of course helped scrub it off the tiles.

"You must be Nene Kusanagi, right?" Toya glared at Nene. Nene turned around, flustered.

"Uhm... yeah..." Nene spoke, quietly.

Toya snickered. "Haha, no need to be shy." Toya stood up, and lent out his hand. "You can call me Toya."

Nene grabbed his hand and stood up, "Hello there, Toya." She turned to look around the empty dining hall. "W-Would you perhaps... know where Rui and Tsukasa went?"

Toya pointed to the door. "They went outdoors. Take the first left and walk past three red doors, the biggest one on the right is the door leading outside."

Nene then put her cloth aside and ran out the door. "T-Thanks Toya! Hope to see you again!"

Toya waved, "Goodbye!! Stay safe out there, Nene."

Outside.

Nene waved Toya goodbye as she ran to the door leading outside. She then used up all her inner strength to push the huge door open and found herself in the middle of a huge crowd. The crowd was really quiet, so quiet that all Nene could hear was the birds chirping and the grass rustling from all the commotion. Nene pushed through and made her way past the crowd. She tapped on someone's shoulder and asked them, "What's going on?" The tall stranger pointed to what they were circling. 

"It's the prince!" 

Nene's eyes widened. "T-The prince?!"

Nene then caught gaze of what the crowd was staring at.

It was the lifeless body of a civilian.
