Tsukasa-kun, Tsukasa-kun, where in god's name could he be.
For some odd reason, it was really dark.
No candles were lit. The only source of light was from the huge window at the end of the main corridor. The sun was setting, and the sight of any light was soon disappearing. It was barely enough to light up half of the hallway itself. I took a few steps, into another dark, empty corridor.
It was disturbingly quiet.
I rushed up and down the hallways, through every door, checking every room, but Tsukasa and the others were nowhere to be seen. After a few minutes of thoroughly searching the place, I approached a big door. Because of the poor lighting in this area, I could barely read the sign hammered onto the door. I took a peek into a small gap in-between the lock and the handle, and from what I could see, the room had a few beds and a medical kit. It was also fairly well lit.
It was the infirmary.
Without thinking for a second about who could've been in there, I bust the door open. I was so riled up that I even knocked the entire frame down.
Who knows, it could have just been a really weak door.
As soon as the sound of the crashing door echoes across the room, a man in a doctor's coat immediately turned his head to take a look at me. He had the most obvious blue hair, eyes of the same shade and a soft expression in his eyes that gave me the chills. What makes it even weirder, is that he was wearing a scarf in this weather.
What a weirdo... well, that's probably what he's thinking of me right now, considering that I just broke down a door.
"Ah- you must be Rui. The ginger told me you were a bit psychopathic." The strange man chuckled at the sight of my surprised expression. "You must be a bit confused, aren't you?"
Ginger...? Does he mean Akito?
Well, this man does seem nice. Do I trust him?
I clenched my fist. "Sir, do you perhaps know where Tsuka-"
My sentence got cut off as a short girl ran into the room through the broken door frame, panting.
It was Saki.
"Rui-kun!! You have to come with me!!" She ran up to my face and started shaking my shoulders intensely.
"Woah woah, calm down... what do you want?" I said in a slightly-aggressive tone. I didn't mean to be rude, I just really wanted to know where Tsukasa is, and if he's okay.
Saki turned her head to the blue-haired man, and he gave her a nod in return.
"Uhm, Rui-kun... this is Dr. Kaito. He's been taking care of Tsukasa and erm, it isn't looking that good at the moment..." Saki's eyes began to swirl and it seemed as if she was about to cry, or maybe even throw up.
Hearing those words, I went silent for a little while. "Wait... what do you mean? Is he okay...??" My voice was shaky. I was scared.
Saki shook her head.
So did the doctor.
"Take me to him," I demanded. "I need to see Tsukasa right now."
I don't know why I said that, I have no authority over these two. If the king were still here, he'd have me arrested.
Ah! That's right! He's dead.

Dr. Kaito was kind enough to lead me into a separate room away from the infirmary, where it smelled like drugs and expired goat's milk. The walls were pure white, and the ceiling had some sort of painting on it. A painting of complimentary colors and swirling emotions.
After admiring the artwork put around the room, the walls began to look emptier. More blank and boring.
In that blank room, is a bed; in that bed, lies Tsukasa Tenma.
He was bandaged up. Everywhere. It wasn't only the stab through the chest that got him here, he had scars all over. I don't think they were from the argument with his father though, so what could have ever gave him the insane amount of scars and cuts he has right now?
Seeing him so hurt and injured gave me a little jab in the heart.
At that exact moment, I lost patience. I disobeyed the doctor's orders of not directly approaching the patient. At this point, I couldn't even take it anymore. I was so desperate that I ran to Tsukasa's bed and gave him a kiss on the head.
Dr. Kaito looked like he was about to do something, but instead, he gave us a warm smile.
"Tsukasa?? Tsukasa-kun, wake up." I didn't want to be too rough, because he was still covered in bandages, and a bleeding cloth was on top of his chest.
I felt a nudge on my arm. Tsukasa grabbed it and pulled me in closer. Soon, my ear was pressed against his face, and he began to whisper something to me.
"Rui-kun, do you know how I feel?" His voice was unsteady, but the sound of it still made my heart flutter.
"How you feel? What do you mean by that?" I pulled my head and pulled his face closer to face.
"Well..." Tsukasa closed his eyes. "I love you, Rui. I really love you. I want you to be mine, forever and ever and ever till the end of time."
I could feel a small teardrop fall down my cheek. Soon, everything was blurry, and I couldn't see a thing.
Am I... crying?
Tsukasa wiped the flowing tears off my face with his shaky palm.
"Tsukasa-kun, what's going on-"
"I love you, Rui."
