"Yes, you are going to lie to me again, aren't you."
"Tsukasa."
Tsukasa's eyes widened in part surprise, part anguish, as if he thought I haven't known this whole time.
This fool. I'm not that stupid, Tatsuya. Or should I say, Tsukasa?
Haha, he's so dumb and cute it's hilarious.
I don't mind that much though...
This isn't the first time I've been lied to.

Flashback, 7 years ago.

"Rui, come inside. It's going to start raining soon."
I groaned, "But mom! Five more minutes... please?"
It was a fine summer afternoon, we owned a home, had a backyard, had a kitchen.
It was perfect.
Not until, of course, everything was lost.
I took off my navy slippers, and walked inside my house. There I saw my beautiful mother, cooking up some delicious-smelling stew. Long, fair purple hair tied up in a low ponytail, messy strands hanging loose from the sides. Her short bangs stood out completely and complimented her face, with her lovely, soft smile greeting me as I walked in.
"Rui, darling, I'm going out tonight. You behave, all right?"
I stood there, annoyed at my mother. "But mom... this is the sixth time you've been out this week! What exactly are you doing at night?"
My mother looked me in the eye and let out a faint sigh. "I'm sorry son, I'm just uh... going to the shops. I'll be setting off now, goodbye."
"But mom-"
My mother then slammed the door behind her, leaving me alone in the small kitchen.
Where does she think she's going??!?! Maybe I should follow her... no. That's too risky. I guess I'll play at Nene's house... but mom tells me that I should stop playing with girls.
I sat on the rusty couch, waiting, and waiting.
Waiting, and waiting.
Waiting, and waiting.
Waiting until I heard a knock on the door.
