18 || Again

Toya's POV, Dialogue.

The loud sound of a knock echoed through the empty hallway. I ran as fast as I could to the door.

Oh shit, oh shit! Akito's here! I haven't even done cleaning the bathroom... what if he needs to use it? Should I let him in... OF COURSE I'LL LET HIM IN! C'mon Toya, snap out of it.

I opened it, only to find a single orange-haired man standing at the door with a smile.

"O-oh... hello Akito. Where is your sister?" I questioned. I realized I was playing with the tips of my hair, but then snapped out of it.

Akito sighed and scratched the back of his head, "She went out with her friend, Mizuki. A shame, really. I wanted her to come with."

I smiled at him, "That's fine. It's just you here, right?" I questioned. Akito nodded his head. I then gestured my hand to the left and let Akito inside the castle.

Akito started to walk in front of me, and I couldn't help but to stare at him while he was doing so. His hair stayed perfectly still while walking, unlike Tsukasa-senpai... his hair does this weird little bounce when he walks. It's sort of funny though, I once had a conversation with Rui about it... hehe...

"Toya?" Akito stopped and watched me as a continued walking, unaware that I was about to bump into him. 

Oh! And yes, I did bump into him. It was really embarrassing.

"Ngh, I-I uh-!" I fell to the ground.

How humiliating.

This isn't how it was meant to go. This is... this is all stupid. I like Akito. And I'm being a fool, I'm being such a fool, he wouldn't like me... what was I thinking...

I sat there, and bowed on my knees.

"T-Toya?! What are you-" 

"I'm sorry!" I burst out. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... I made a fool of myself... and this isn't how a host acts. I'm so sorry..." And then I started crying. Even more humiliating.

Akito then grabbed my arm and pulled me up to stand. His strong grip kind of hurt, but I deserved it after all. 

"Toya, listen to me. I don't want to go through this conversation again."

His breath smells like breath mints.

"A-Again??" I muttered. 

"Oh for crying out loud." He seemed pissed.

"The only reason I'm here is for you!" He yelled out. My eyes widened like never before.

I sobbed, "But that doesn't make sense... you came here because the king-"

"No, Toya. I came here because I want to see YOU." His voice began to soften. "Ever since we met in that damned maze of a kitchen, I completely fell in love with you. Your soft smile, your smooth face, is everything. I can't help but to get the least bit mad when I see you upset, and I want you to stop thinking that you're not good enough because you are. You're good enough for me."

Those words...

He doesn't truly feel this way about me... does he?

"I-I don't think-"

"Shut the fuck up."

"What?"

"I said, shut the fuck up."

"Why-"

"Because I said so." Akito sighed, "I love you, Toya. Can't you get that into your sweet little mind?"

"Oh..." I was at loss for words. Next thing you know it, Akito's face turned bright red.

"Don't tell me I just said that." He mumbled.

I couldn't help but to start laughing. I'm surprised that I wasn't the first one to confess.

"Shut up..." he laughed.

"What a way to start this evening, huh." I chuckled. 

"That's right." A voice gleamed from behind us. 

It was Rui.

Akito turned around to look at him. "H-Have you been watching us this whole time?!"

Rui smirked. "Not just me, no." He pointed to the rest of the crew.

"Hi there!" Emu giggled.

Nene stayed silent.

"Congrats I guess." Tsukasa gave both of us a warm, greeting smile. "Just make sure, Akito, you take care of Toya well. Break his heart, and you're done."

Akito looked a bit confused. I then interrupted them two and said, "How about we go to the dining hall. So much has happened in such little time..."

Nene nodded her head. 

Akito paused for a second. "Wait- Toya... you haven't introduced me to half the people here-"
