KABANATA XII
Third Person's POV
"May, wake up. You need to attend school today. I'll ask dad if he can send you to school, of course I'll come too."
Mabilis na bumangon si May at nagkusot ng mga mata. "Breakfast's ready. Megumi is also on her way here."
"Megumi's coming?"
Kumuha si Aline ng damit sa kaniyang closet. Pumili siya sa dalawang damit na na sa kamay.
"Yeah, actually it's not that surprising anymore. If she could, she would literally sleep here everyday, but since you're coming back to school today after being away for a week and how many days, I sent her home last night so you can rest for the whole night, and yeah, I've sent her home when you were about to go to bed and she's returning when you just woke up."
"You could've let her stay last night, ate Aline. For sure magtatampo 'yon."
"Will not work on me. You know how talkative she is and she never rans out of energy so if I really wanted you to rest, of course, what I did was for the best."
"I'll take a bath first and then I'll come down." May climbed down the bed.
"Yup, sure. I'll wait for Megumi outside, too, and err.. the rest."
It has been three days since May went to Aline's house and today she is finally coming back to school after being MIA. Aline's going to send her to school so she can rest assure that she will going to be fine. Aline is also acting like her guardian ever since she held custody of her friend.
Bumibisita rin si Kai kasama ang ate 'nito para sa check-ups and follow-ups, ngunit maliban doon ay hindi tumatanggap ng bisita si Aline para sa kaibigan.
Ngayong araw 'din muling magkikita-kita ang magkakaibigan makalipas ang tatlong araw. Noe is also coming but she could not care less, after all nagawa 'nito ang pinag-uutos niya.
Pagkatapos makapagbihis ay mabilis 'ding sumunod si May sa baba para makapag-almusal.
Naabutan niyang napapailing-iling si Aline. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, just that Sani's high in energy.. err early in the morning."
"Yep! I came here for breakfast! Hi, May!" Biglang lumitaw si Sani sa harap niya.
"Good morning, Sani." Biglang sumulpot si Cruz turo-turo ang sarili 'nito na tila ba sinasabi 'how about me?'
May chuckled, "Good morning 'din sa 'yo, Cruz."
"Let's all eat breakfast first, then I'll use the van to send you all to school." Tawag sa kanila ng ina ni Aline.
Sa hapag ay maingay na kumakain ang magkakaibigan. Nag-aasaran kasi sina Sani at Cruz habang sinasakyan ni Joshiel ang mga biro ng binata. Kapag sinasama ni Sani si Richo sa kalokohan nila ay nababatukan siya ng kaibigan. Tuwing lumilipat naman ito kay Kai ay mabilis na nag-iiwas ng tingin ang huli. Bago pa man lumapit si Sani kay Noe para depensahan siya 'nito ay mabilis namang nagyu-U-turn si Sani. Awkward.
"By the way, I'll fetch you when school's done so I can accompany you to the hospital. It's your appointment today, right?" Upon Kai's sister's suggestion, May is going to visit a psychiatrist and instead of going with Kai, obviously, Aline volunteered to accompany her personally.
"Okay. Where is Megumi, by the way?" Si Megumi na lang ang kulang sa kanila. Kanina ay sabi nito'y agad 'din siyang pupunta ngunit hanggang ngayon ay wala pa rin ito.
Sasagot pa lang sana si Joshiel 'nang may mag-doorbell. "Speaking of the devil." Says Sani.
Mabilis na tumayo si Aline para pagbuksan ng pinto ang kaibigan.
