Chapter 7

Friday, 8th May

Joe and I messaged and called each other every day since Tuesday. The next few day flew by really quick and before I knew it, it was Friday after school and I was at home waiting for Joe to arrive. It was the start of half term which meant we had a whole week off school. I was upstairs getting changed when I heard the door bell go off. I ran downstairs in nothing but underwear and my school top. I opened the door and saw Joe stood there with 2 bags smiling at me.

''Come in and make yourself at home, I still need to get changed.'' I said and ran upstairs. I got changed into some high waisted shorts and a white crop top then went back downstairs to see Joe sat on the sofa.

''Hey'' I went up to him and hugged him ''Sorry about that I only just got back from school and I didn't have time to change'' I say and he smiles at me.

''It's okay don't worry. So should we film?'' He asks me and I nod.

''What are we filming?'' I ask.

''How about innuendo bingo?'' Joe says and I grin as I had a plan to get my revenge on Joe for pushing me into the pool last week.

''Sure'' I reply and we go to set up the equipment on the pool side.

Suddenly the house phone rings and I pick it up.

''The Paton residency how might I help you?'' I say to the phone as Joe carries on putting the equipment up.

''Charlotte! It's mum ringing. Why aren't you picking up your phone?'' She screamed worried down the phone.

''I'm sorry mum, I must have left it in Reece's car.'' I say remembering that I probably left it there when he dropped me off home.

''I'm just glad you are okay. How is everything? How did meeting Joe Sugg go?'' She asks and I smile telling her everything about my party, amity fest and the next day.

''That's so cool! So I guess you had a good birthday?'' She says.

''Yes omg it was amazing! I enjoyed it so much. Actually, Joe is at ours today to film a video with me for his channel, how exciting is that?!'' I scream and Joe looks at me and laughs.

''That's great hun, I need to go now. I can't wait to see you next week! Bye love you''

''Love you too mum'' I say and we hang up. I then called Morgan off of Joe's phone and asked her to come over to help us film the video and of course, she agreed. She showed up at my front door with Reece, Bradley, Matt and Lauren 20 minutes later.

''I believe this is yours'' Reece says as he hands me my phone and I hug him. We finished setting up and we were ready to film.

Joe's POV

We finished setting up the equipment and we sat down to film the video.

''Hello guys! So today I am joined with my friend Charlotte and we will be playing the innuendo bingo with the help of her friends who will be playing the clips for us! Are you ready Char?'' I ask Charlotte and she smiles and nods. We listen to numerous clips and by the end of the video we are both soaked. We stand up to film the outro and as I proceed to say goodbye, Charlotte grabs me and pushes me into the pool. I grab her arm so she falls in with me and when we surface everyone laughs at us. We both smile at the camera from the pool and say goodbye. I get out of the pool, turn my camera off and pack up my equipment.

Charlotte's POV

After filming with Joe, we go to have showers and I do my hair and make up again. I put on a different pair of shorts and a black crop top. I then make my way downstairs and everyone including Joe is sat downstairs just chatting away.

''Guys how about a bbq and some drinks?'' I ask them and everyone cheers.

''Joe can you text Zoe, Alfie, Tanya, Caspar, Jim, Marcus, Niomi and Louise asking them if they would like to come?'' I ask him and he says yes. We start getting everything ready. Joe comes into the kitchen to inform me that Caspar and Louise are busy and can't make it but everyone else is up for it. The boys get the bbq and the seats ready while the girls prepare the drinks and the food.

''Charlotte, we are missing one lounge chair'' Reece said as he walked into the kitchen.

''Okay let me go grab it'' I said and walked outside into the garden ''Joe, can you help me please?'' I asked him and he walked towards me.

''Sure what's up?'' He said.

''I need you to come upstairs with me and get a lounge chair out of the spare room'' I said and he followed me upstairs. I opened the door to the spare room and we walked in closing the door behind us. I walked up to the lounge chair and started to take all of the other objects that were laying on top of it. I heard a bang and I instantly grabbed onto Joe. I looked behind me and realised that it was only the ironing board. I turned to face Joe again and our faces were extremely close to each other. His eyes looked into mine making me smile. They then wandered to my lips, then back to my eyes and then to my lips again. We heard the door knob turning so we took a step back from each other.

''Hey guys have you found the chair yet?'' Matt asks. I nod and point to the chair. He helps Joe carry it downstairs as I go back to the girls. I return to preparing the chicken.

The doorbell rings so I run over to the door and open it to reveal Marcus, Niomi, Zoe, Alfie, Tanya, Jim and a lot of alcohol and food.

''Hey guys! It's nice to see you again! I hope you have everything that you need cause you're staying the night!'' I say and they smile at me.

''Yes Joe text us earlier telling us so we are prepared'' Niomi says smiling. After everyone introduces themselves we start the bbq. We all have a bit too much alcohol and I was completely drunk.

''Okay guys I think it's time we all go to sleep'' Reece said and everyone agreed. We made our way upstairs and I needed a little help from Joe.He was sober so he took me to my room and I got changed with his help then I was out immediately.
