Chapter 9

When Joe left for his meeting in London I decided to clean up the house. It was one of the hardest things ever as my house was huge. As I finished cleaning the ground floor, the door bell rang. I opened the door and in front of me stood Zoe and Niomi with bags full of makeup and dresses.

''Joe has told us where he is taking you for your date so we know exactly how to dress you'' Zoe said as her and Niomi made their way upstairs dragging me along.

''You look sweaty'' Niomi said as she gently pushed me into the bathroom ''have a shower'' she said and closed the door behind me.

Zoe's POV

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't sure how I felt about Charlotte and Joe going on a date. Yes, I was happy for the both of them as Joe was my brother and Charlotte has become one of my closest friends but the age gap worried me. I felt that Charlotte was mature enough to be with Joe but he has forgotten how it was when he was 16. He has gone through so much more than Charlotte and he is more experienced in different aspects of life whereas she is not. I need to speak to Joe about this date and my only chance is now while Charlotte takes a shower.

''Niomi, I'm just going to make a quick call and I will be back'' I said as I left Char's room. I grabbed my phone and dialed Joe's number. He picked up after the 3rd ring.

Joe-''Hello Zozo!'' He exclaimed happily.

Zoe-''Joe we need to talk... about Charlotte''

I could hear him sigh and I knew he knew what I was going to say.

Zoe-''Look Joe, I am SO happy for the both of you. I know you had feelings for her since Amity and it was quite obvious she had too. You've know her for a week and there is nothing wrong with that but I just want you to realise that she is 16... yes she is legal to have sex which makes it legal for you two to be together but you have to realise that your relationship is going to be hard. First of all, you are going to have to get her parents approval which might be hard since she is 16 and you are 23 but even when you do persuade her parents, there are other people out there that are going to judge you. All of our friends, including me, see nothing wrong with it but I know for sure that some viewers might so you will need to prepare Charlotte for the hate she is going to get. I want you two to try to be together and I know you will treat her like a princess because I have known you all of my life BUT I won't let it happen until you promise me that you will refuse to leave her and give up on your relationship when something or someone tries to ruin it.''

Joe-''Zoe, I cross my heart and promise you now that I will not give up on Charlotte and our relationship no matter what.''

I could hear the seriousness in his voice. I smile to myself.

Zoe-''I'm glad Broesph. See you later''

Joe-''Thanks, I love you sis''

Zoe-''I love you too bro''

We hang up and I walk back into Char's room where I see Niomi curling her hair. Wow I was on the phone for ages.

''How long was I gone?'' I question.

''Long enough for me to have a shower, blow dry my awfully long hair and be half way through Niomi curling it.'' Char replies and we laugh. After Niomi is done with her hair we get onto her makeup. When her makeup was done she looked absolutely stunning. I took out the dress I have bought for her and I could tell she loved it. We paired it with a pair of her black Louboutins and some silver jewellery. As I was scanning through her wonderful closet, I spotted a gorgeous YSL purse that went perfectly with her dress. It was now 7pm and Joe text me saying he should be here anytime soon. Before I could say anything the doorbell rang.
