Chapter 8

Saturday, 9th May

When I woke up the next morning I saw Joe asleep on the sofa seat that was placed in the corner of my room. I got up from the bed making sure I didn't wake him up and went into the bathroom to get ready. I showered to get the smell of alcohol off of my body. I then done my hair, makeup and got changed. Joe was still asleep so I went downstairs to make myself some breakfast. When I entered the kitchen I saw a note on the fridge:

Charlotte,

Tanya, Jim, Marcus, Niomi, Matt, Lauren, Bradley, Reece and I decided to go back home as we had things to do. Niomi asked me for your number so that she can call you later. I hope you don't mind. Thank you for last night.

I put the note down and started making breakfast for Joe, Zoe, Alfie and I.

5 minutes later I saw Zoe making her way into the kitchen.

''Hello Zoe'' I said and she smiled at me. Her eye grew wide when she saw the breakfast on the table ''tuck in!'' I said and laughed as she attacked the pancakes. I sat down next to her and ate my plate of pancakes and bacon.

''So Charlotte... it was very lovely to meet you and yesterday was so much fun! I think we can become great friends!'' She said smiling.

''I would love that! We can go shopping together and pick clothes for each other!'' I said excitedly.

''It's a plan'' Zoe and I giggle. I finish my breakfast and clean up my plate. Just as I was about to call them, Joe and Alfie walk downstairs.

''Morning girls!'' Alfie said hugging me and kissing Zoe.

''Hello girls!'' Joe said and hugged both of us.

We ate breakfast and then Zoe and Alfie had to go to a meeting but said that they would be back later on. I sat outside when Joe came up to me.

''Hey Charlotte'' He said and sat on the edge of my sunbathing bed.

''Hey Joe''

''So I have a meeting in London in about 2 hours but I was wondering if I could take you out today?.... like on a date?'' He asks scratching the back of his neck.

''Yeah sure'' I say smiling at him. As soon as he left for his meeting I called Zoe.

Me- ''Zoe.. I need to tell you something''

Zoe-'' You're going on a date with my brother?''

Me- '' How did you know?!''

Zoe- ''Joe called me, I got out of my meeting, I'm coming back now and we're getting you ready!''

She hung up.
