Chapter 2: A Little Help From a Friend

Eren took his seat next to Annie in the back of the class trying his best not to look like a rose in full bloom. 'This is my chance to talk to her.' Eren thought to himself. This project was the biggest stroke of luck Eren has come across, its as if he just struck gold, found a diamond whatever the hell you fancy.

Eren looked at the clock then at Annie, 'Ok Eren you have enough time, talk to her for a bit, get to know her, ask for her number, ask if maybe she would like to do something sometime.' Eren though to himself as he turned to her.

He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out, he just looked at her with his mouth slightly open. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Are you ok?" she asked. Eren turned red from embarrassment and looked away.

'Good work Eren, the relationship hasn't even stared and you already ruined it.' he thought to himself. 'No, you just have to fix this.' he thought to himself as he faced her once more. "Uhh A-Annie...." Eren finally said.

"What is it?" She asked as she was writing something down on one of her notebooks. "So uhmmm I just wanted to ask how you're doing and stuff like that." Eren said trying to control his blush.

"Fine I guess." She said still writing in her notebook. "How was your day?" Eren asked. Annie gave him a confused look. "Your in all of my classes, you should know how my day went." Annie said. 'Shit.' Eren thought.

"Heh yeah, your right." Eren said trying to laugh it off. Annie just rolled her eyes and continued writing in her notebook. "Well anyway, when do you want to start our project?" Eren asked. Annie looked over to him, "I really don't care when we start it." Annie said.

Eren scratched the back of his neck, "So Annie, I was going out with some friends today, is their a chance you want to come?" Eren asked with a smile. Annie looked over to him, "No." Annie said then went back to writing in her notebook.

Eren looked away and his smile faded, 'Shot down.' Eren thought to himself.' but then his smile returned as he though of a plan. 'Marcus.' Class soon ended and Eren sprinted out of the room running to the stairs running down and heading towards Marcus who was currently at his locker.

"MARCUS!" Eren shouted as Marcus turned his head just in time to see Eren crash into him. "Ow, shit that hurt." Marcus said as he stood up and extended his hand to help Eren up. Eren grabbed his hand and stood up.

"Marcus I have a favor to ask." Eren said. "What is it?" Marcus asked. "Your good friends with Annie right?" Eren asked, Marcus nodded yes and Eren smiled good. "Do you think that you can help me with y'know......" Eren asked shyly.

Marcus smiled and chuckled, "I forgot you had a thing for her, alright i'll help." Marcus said. Eren smiled, "Thanks Marcus, your a lifesaver." Eren said. Marcus shrugged, "I wouldn't go that far, but no problem."Marcus said as he walked away.

Eren sat at home looking at his watch every now and then waiting for Armin to show up and for Marcus to text him. He soon heard a knock at the door and found Marcus standing there. "Oh hey Marcus, whats up?" Eren asked. "I was planning on going to the movies with you guys." Marcus said.

Eren raised an eyebrow ,"how did you find out about that?" Eren asked. "I told him." Mikasa said walking down the stairs. "Oh." was all Eren said as he let Marcus inside the house. "Did you by any chance see Armin on your way over?" Eren asked.

"I don't know, I was driving, I prefer to pay attention to the road instead of the sidewalk when I drive." Marcus said as he took a seat on one of the couches. "Just asking don't have to be an asshole." Eren muttered to himself as he heard yet another knock at the door.

He opened it to find Armin standing there smiling. "Hey Eren, hey Mikasa." he said. "Hey Armin." Marcus said, still sitting on the couch. "Oh hey Marcus." Armin greeted. "So what Movie are we gonna go see?" Marcus asked. "Well I was planning on going to see that new Taken movie." Eren said.

Marcus shook his head, "Man they need to stop making those movies." Marcus muttered to himself. " Eren looked over at Marcus but ignored the comment.

"You guys ready to go?" He asked. The others nodded and they soon all walked out the door, Eren closing it behind him and they all got in Eren's car. Soon the four of them were at the theaters, they all paid for their ticket and bought drinks and other extra things to eat while watching the movie.

They soon went in and grabbed their seats. Eren quickly ran into the bathroom and Marcus followed.

Once in the bathroom Eren looked at Marcus with a raised eyebrow, "Uhmmm, why did you follow me?" Eren asked. "I wanted to watch you." Marcus said with an emotionless expression. Eren looked at Marcus, his eyes widened. Marcus soon laughed, "Don't worry I just needed to talk to you in private." Marcus said. "It's about Annie." Marcus said. Eren nodded, "Alright let me hear it." Eren said as he leaned against a wall waiting to hear what Marcus had to say. "As you may know Annie isn't really the one to be hanging around a dozen people all at once, she like to be alone, or with a select few people." Marcus said. Eren nodded, "Go on." Eren said. "So what i'm thinking is that I get her to go somewhere with me saying Reiner and Bertholdt will be there, we show up and i bring her to a seat, all of a sudden you show up and I leave, you guys start talking and getting to know eachother and boom!" Marcus finishes telling Eren his planning. Eren begins rubbing his temples, "Marcus.....a small child could have come up with this plan, but considering I did'nt think of it first I'll roll with this plan." Eren says. Marcus scowls, "it took me awhile to think of that plan y'know." Marcus said. Eren rolled his eyes, "Ok Marcus can I please piss now?" Eren asked.
