In the hollow expanse of whatever cave you'd wound up in all three of you look around for a way out.
Splitting off you all wander around in awe. "Look guys" you call spotting some stranded tools. "Must be from the quarry days"
"No one's been down here for years" Laura adds casting a glance over the dusty equipment.
"Ugh, let's hurry up and leave this place gives me the creeps" you scowl and begin walking up some stairs. The other two follow along but freeze when you hear a shout.
"Silas!" A strained call echoes around the stone walls.
"What was that?" You croak.
"It's her...the hag of Hackett's Quarry" Ryan announces.
"Maybe she's guiding us" Laura shrugs seemingly unfazed by the idea of a ghost.
As you continue the walk part of the rickety metal railing flies off. "If we don't die by werewolf attack we're dying because this place is going to collapse in on us" you rant.
"Be careful" Laura instructs wasting no time to stop and worry about safety.
"This place is not up to code" Ryan tuts.
"Man" Laura grumbles when you reach the last set of steps "I could really go for a hamburger"
"Me too" you sigh noticing how hungry you were getting.
"Stop being weird you two" Ryan rolls his eyes and ushers you on.
The hunger was definitely a bad sign, the infection or whatever the fuck was in your system was getting worse. Time was running out.
"Look, a light" you point ahead through a boarded up entrance.
Ryan makes a disapproving noise meanwhile Laura takes initiative to tear the planks away. Right, wolfish super strength or whatever.
As you make your way through the darkness you eye bottles of alcohol "guess this was a rum running tunnel" you comment thinking back to history classes before summer started. Those classes were so boring.
At the end of the tunnel red light illuminates an empty doorframe. Laura leads the way and you step into a room full of cages. Besides the obviously weird scene you feel something strange creep across your skin.
That burning sensation was back making you feel feverish and twitchy. "What is this place?" Ryan questions looking at the buzzing cages.
The metal was electrified creating a static throughout the room. You could barely focus though, nearly leaning against one. "You're gonna get yourself fried!" Laura hisses as she grabs you away.
"Sorry" you mumble unable to shake the heat on your body.
"Holy shit" she growls pointing her gun up ahead.
"What are you-" that's when you see it. When you see him. A very familiar werewolf.
"It's him" Laura murmurs taking aim.
Acting on instinct you snatch the gun away from her and she shoots you a mix between a glare and shock. "It's not Chris" you huff.
"Nick" Ryan whispers with wide eyes. He seems to have caught on.
"How can you know?" The blonde scoffs.
"You'd know if it was Max right?" You retort through gritted teeth.
She bites her lip before releasing a sigh "So, that's not Chris, then we'll keep looking"
A smirk flashes over your face briefly. "Thank you"
