Neelum
She woke up the next day after having the best sleep she had had all week .
His promises kept running in her head and a smile spread across her lips .
She tied up her hair getting ready to head downstairs,
The breafast table was empty , except for her mother and Rizwan bhai and safa bhabi, they seemed to be in a deep discussion.
"Assalamulalikum" they all turned to her ,
"Baba kahan hain?" She asked looking around as she sat down ,
"Office gayein hain , shoib ko help chahiye thi kisi cheez mein" her mother told her ,
"Neelum Rizwan aur safa ne eik baat ki hai abhi , aur mein jaana chahti hun agar tumhe iss k baaray mein kuch pata hai ?" Her mother said raising an eyebrow,
Neelum suddenly felt like she was in the principals office , having been caught for something redhanded ,
She looked at her mother biting her lip
"Ammi aap mujhe nervous kar rahi hain" she said sheepishly,
"Iss ka matlab hai k tum sach bolo gi ?" Her mother said , Neelum nodded ,
"Daniyal ne zikar kiya hai Rizwan aur safa se k woh Aima se shaadi karna chahta hai" Neelum looked up at her in surprise,
At least she hoped it looked like she was hearing this for the first time .
"Kaun Aima? Meri nand ?" She asked ,
Her mother looked at her her stare so intense that Neelum had to force herself to look away,
"Haan , woh meri bohaut achi student hai" Rizwan bhai said ,
Safa bhabi sat quietly,
"Tumhe pata tha Neelum?" Her mother asked and Neelum shook her head ,
"Nahi ammi" she said as she drug her nail into her palm hoping her mother would buy it.
"Acha chulo theek hai , beta Nashta karo"
Neelum nodded .
"Ammi this has come out of nowhere" Rizwan said ,
"Par yeh eik unreasonable request nahi hai Rizwan" Safa said softly.
"Uss ne hummay aakar bataya hai iss ka matlab hai k woh serious hai, aur yeh naa bhulein yeh Neelum ko bhiaffect karta hai , uss k sasural ki baat hai" Safa said ,
"Agar Ibrahim ko uss ne khud jaa kar bol diya kitna awkward hoga Neelum k kiye" she finished ,
Neelum looked up surprised again,
"Daniyal ne yeh kaha hai?" She asked ,
"Woh zidd kar raha hai, mujhe nahi lagta asal mein Ibrahim ko ja kar bol de ga woh" Rizwan said ,
"Abhi bohaut chota hai woh" Rizwan bhai maintained ,
"Rishtay ki baat karnay mein tou koi harj nahi hai Rizwan" Safa argued
"Rukhsati ki baat tou nahi horahi hai, uss ne agar apni pasand ka her zhar kiya hai iss mein koi buri baat nahi hai" she said to him,
Rizwan bhi ran a hand through his hair scratching the back of it ,
"Why are you pushing this Safa" he said finally ,
Safa bhabi looked at her cup for a few seconds and then spoke ,
"Kyun k Rizwan woh ghalat nahi hai, ussay haq hai apni pasand ka izhar karnay ka aur humara farz hai k hum baat maanay" she said to him,
He was about to say something else when they were interrupted by Fahad bhais entry with the twins ,
"Assalamulalikum" he said as Hammad stayed close to his father and Arzoo ran towards them hugging everyone ,
"Oh hoo humari Arzoo aayi hai" her mother said kissing the 3 year old ,
She turned to Rizwan bhai
"Riz taya, mein ajj shool gayi thi" she told him , he laughed picking her up,
"Acha kaisa laga school aapko" he asked pressing a kiss to her cheek and settling her on his lap
She continued to tell him what she saw there ,
"Udher goaties thay , duckiesh thay aur" she tapped her finger trying to remember,
"Hammad aur kya tha" she asked ,
Hammad still behind his fathers leg shrugged ,
