His kidney had died, that's what the doctor had said, well, not exactly that, but that he was finished for sure.

A couple of weeks ago he had felt like shit, Susan had insisted on taking him to the doctor although his father objected, the woman simply waited for her husband to leave, she forced him into the car and drove him to the hospital, there the doctor examined him and ordered a blood test and a urine test to be more sure, Susan insisted that he not go to school that day. When school was over a car was heard in the driveway, Billy looked out the living room window to see Steve's BMV, Max got out of it waving goodbye enthusiastically, the brunet got out of the car but stayed by it side watching the young woman get in, the blond waved him to go around to the back, Steve walked quickly to under Billy's window.

-Hey, what happened to you? Max told me you weren't well -Steve whispered

-I'm fine, I just had an upset stomach and Susan got worried, she's very over the top

-Are you sure?

-Yes, the doctor said I have an obstruction, as soon as I evacuate, I'll be better

Steve laughed.

-By evacuate, you mean shit, don't you? Are you forgetting that you don't date a lady?

-Sometimes I forget because you're such a little bitch

-Shut up -he snorted, rolling his eyes

Steve rested his hands on the stool and lifted himself up, Billy bent a little lower and they gave each other a quick kiss, the brunet left and the blond closed the window. The next day Billy went to class, and the next, and the next, but after a week they called from the hospital to say that his results were in, Susan waited for Neil to leave that morning, she left Max at school and took Billy to the hospital, the doctor didn't keep them waiting long.

-The results came back, we had to send them to the city, but everything is here now

-And what's going on, doctor?

-Well, it's not easy to say, Mrs. Hargrove, but Billy has lupus

Susan and Billy looked at the man blankly, the doctor did a quick explanation, lupus is an autoimmune disease, that means, the immune system itself attacks healthy cells and tissues by mistake, this can damage many parts of the body, including the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels and the brain.

-In this case, it appears that the disease has affected Billy's kidneys, causing them to begin to fail

-What... what can happen? -the woman sobbed and Billy looked at her in shock

-The kidneys are a vital part of the body, you can't live without them, Mrs. Hargrove, so Billy will experience various pains and suffer various problems as a result, when they stop working completely, his life will come to an end
